La historia nos ubica en los 60’s. Bob Zellner, un estudiante universitario y nieto de un miembro del Ku Klux Klan, ve como el solo simplemente ir como parte de un proyecto universitario a ciertos eventos de derechos civiles, le acaba perjudicando de varias maneras, tanto con su entorno como con las autoridades. Sin embargo, al ir conociendo a diversos miembros del movimiento Freedom Riders, acabará integrándose en él.
The story is set in the 60's. Bob Zellner, a college student and grandson of a member of the Ku Klux Klan, sees how simply going as part of a university project to certain civil rights events, ends up hurting him in several ways, both with his environment and with the authorities. However, as he gets to know various members of the Freedom Riders movement, he ends up joining it.
Interesante historia que cuenta el caso real de Bob Zellner, y muestra que si queremos realmente generar un cambio, debemos dar el primer paso. La trama gracias a sus buenos actores y situaciones narradas, acaba siendo entretenida e interesante de ver. Sus aproximadamente 105 minutos se me pasaron rápido.
Interesting story that tells the real case of Bob Zellner, and shows that if we really want to generate a change, we must take the first step. The plot, thanks to its good actors and narrated situations, ends up being entertaining and interesting to watch. Its approximately 105 minutes passed quickly.
La escenografía de la época cumple, así como diversos aspectos técnicos de la cinta. Tal vez, lo que menos funcionó para mí fue una escena donde hubo una turba agrediendo, se volvió muy caótica e inverosímil.
The scenography of the period is good, as well as several technical aspects of the film. Perhaps, what worked the least for me was a scene where there was an attacking mob, it became very chaotic and implausible.
