Un haiku es un tipo de poema japonés, corto, con pocas sílabas, el cual busca desarrollar un mensaje siendo conciso. Esta película anime agarra ese concepto y lo desarrolla. El director de la misma es Kyohei Ishiguro y fue estrenada internacionalmente este 2021.

Cherry es un joven con una afición por las haikus, ya que le permite comunicarse siendo tímido. Por el otro lado, tenemos a Smile, una chica influencer que tiene cierto complejo con sus dientes, tipo dientes de conejo, debido a ello usa una mascarilla. Estos personajes un día acaban topándose en un centro comercial. A su vez, tenemos al Señor Fujiyama, un anciano que tiene un problema al no encontrar un disco de vinilo perdido. Esto sumado a diversos personajes secundarios, se desarrolla una historia romántica de verano.
Cherry is a young man with a fondness for haikus, as it allows him to communicate, despite being shy. On the other hand, we have Smile, an influencer girl who has a certain complex with her teeth, because of this she wears a mask. These characters one day end up running into a shopping mall . In turn, we have Mr. Fujiyama, an old man who has a problem not finding a lost vinyl record. This, added to various secondary characters, develops a romantic summer story.
La historia es sencilla pero simpática, y trata a mi parece principalmente el tema de la comunicación y la aceptación personal. A su vez, vemos a lo largo de la película mucho uso de los haikus, dándole un aire creativo interesante. Entre lo mejor creo que sería el tramo final, donde se busca solucionar el problema de la película y darle una resolución a la relación de Cherry y Smile. Es hermoso. El punto malo, sería que en muchos tramos de la historia el desarrollo es lento, llegando a ser un poco tedioso.
The story is simple but nice, and it seems to me mainly the subject of communication and personal acceptance. At the same time, we see a lot of use of haikus throughout the film, giving it an interesting creative air. Among the best I think would be the final section, where it seeks to solve the problem of the film and give a resolution to the relationship between Cherry and Smile. It's lovely. The bad point would be that in many sections of history the development is slow, becoming a bit tedious.
La animación usa colores vivos que le da el tono veraniego al título. A su vez, hay buenas canciones, especialmente la principal.
