Los eventos de la película ocurren después de Avengers: Endgame. Shaun(Shang-Chi) y su amiga Katy viven una vida despreocupada en la ciudad trabajando como valets de un hotel. Es luego de un ataque y Shaun muestre sus escondidas habilidades atléticas, que deciden viajar a Macao para reintegrar el pasado de Shang-Chi y descubrir el secreto de Ta Lo, un pueblo escondido.
The events of the movie take place after Avengers: Endgame. Shaun(Shang-Chi) and his friend Katy live a carefree life in the city working as hotel valets. It is after an attack and Shaun shows his hidden athletic abilities, that they decide to travel to Macau to reintegrate Shang-Chi's past and discover the secret of Ta Lo, a hidden village.
Es una película de origen, en donde muestra como es la infancia de Shang-Chi, sus padres, de donde surge su fuerza, y de la ciudad escondida Ta Lo. Como tal, hay bastantes flashbacks, no permitiendo un buen avance en la historia, y es ya casi al final, que descubrimos a lo que realmente se enfrenta Shang-Chi en esta cinta. Las escenas de acción son variadas, algunas con demasiado CGI, pero aun si disfrutables. La mejor, a mi parecer, es la pelea al costado de un rascacielos.
It is an origin film, where it shows what Shang-Chi's childhood is like, his parents, where his strength comes from, and the hidden town Ta Lo. As such, there are quite a few flashbacks, not allowing a good progress in the story, and it is already almost at the end, that we discover what really faces Shang-Chi in this tape. The action scenes are varied, some with too much CGI, but still enjoyable. The best, in my opinion, is the fight on the side of a skyscraper.
La amiga de Shang-Chi,Katy, es la que aporta la parte cómica(con el personaje sorpresa), y a mi parecer hace un trabajo ambiguo, a veces funciona, a veces no. Nuestro protagonista, interpretado por Simu Liu, creo que hace un trabajo decente, pero no impactante. Los demás actores tienen sus más y sus menos.
Shang-Chi's friend, Katy, is the one who provides the comic part (with the surprise character), and in my opinion she does an ambiguous job, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Our protagonist, played by Simu Liu, I think he does a decent job, but not shocking. The other actors have their pluses and minuses.
El resultado final a mi parecer es disfrutable, pero es un tanto pesado en ciertos puntos, especialmente con tantos flashbacks. La recomiendo a los fans de Marvel y les interese ver este nuevo superhéroe.
The end result in my opinion is enjoyable, but it is a bit heavy at certain points, especially with so many flashbacks. I recommend it to Marvel fans interested in seeing this new superhero.
