South Park es una serie bastante conocida para este punto. Una serie animada con bastante humor negro, lisuras y cosas que son imposible de ver en otro lado. En el tiempo que llevan, a veces se les da por hacer especiales o películas, es el caso de este título. South Park: Post Covid fue estrenada en noviembre del año pasado. Su director, como siempre, es Trey Parker.
South Park is a pretty well known series by this point. An animated series with a lot of black humor, smoothness and things that are impossible to see anywhere else. In the time they've been around, sometimes they get around to making specials or movies, which is the case with this title. South Park: Post Covid was released last November. Its director, as always, is Trey Parker.
Sinopsis: La pandemia finalmente ha acabado. Sin embargo, duró muchos años, y nos encontramos en el futuro. Los personajes principales ya adultos y viviendo de forma separada, se enteran de una mala noticia, ha muerto Kenny. Lo que sigue, es ver como Eric, Stan y Cartman, tratarán de entender que paso con Kenny y si es posible cambiar algo.
Synopsis: The pandemic is finally over. However, it lasted many years, and we find ourselves in the future. The main characters, now adults and living separately, learn the bad news, Kenny has died. What follows is to see how Eric, Stan and Cartman will try to understand what happened to Kenny and if it is possible to change anything.
La película se dividió en 2 partes de 1 hora aprox. En ellas veremos no solo la trama que se va contando, sino el contexto en que se realiza, un futuro de lo más gracioso: con un irreconocible Cartman, timbres que cantan, Alexas, comedia políticamente correcta, etc. He de decir que en general la trama tiene la misma fórmula ya vista en anteriores especiales y capítulos. Los chicos se juntan y poco a poco van avanzando en una solución.
The movie was divided into 2 parts of 1 hour approx. In them we will see not only the plot that is being told, but the context in which it takes place, a future of the funniest: with an unrecognizable Cartman, ringers singing, Alexas, politically correct comedy, etc. I have to say that in general the plot has the same formula already seen in previous specials and chapters. The guys get together and little by little move towards a solution.
Lo diferente puede ser el ver a los personajes grandes peleados y como una decisión en el pasado puede afectarles bastante. Lo mejor es sin duda la comedia, y a mi parecer es superior la primera parte a la segunda, ya que tiene más sorpresas por revelar.
What is different may be to see the big characters fighting and how a decision in the past can affect them a lot. The best part is undoubtedly the comedy, and in my opinion the first part is superior to the second, as it has more surprises to reveal.
Como siempre hay mucha sátira y crítica social, pero con South Park siempre evito tomarme demasiado en serio lo que intentan dejar como mensaje. En otros apartados, hay una divertida canción “Living in the Future”.
As always there is a lot of satire and social criticism, but with South Park I always avoid taking too seriously what they try to leave as a message. In other sections, there is a fun song "Living in the Future".
En general me parece una divertida película pero creo que repite una fórmula ya demasiado conocida y por tal sin muchas sorpresas(salvo una grande) al final de la misma. Recomendado para los que gustan de South Park.
Overall I find it a fun movie but I think it repeats a formula already too well known and therefore without many surprises (except a big one) at the end of it. Recommended for those who like South Park.
