This has its pros and cons, which I’ll get to later. Jessica Chastain is spectacular, and the casting is excellent. The story gets right to the point with the supernatural and demons seeking the gods’ gift of humanity.... even if it means using force 😱😱

Other Mommy es un film recien estrenado en Cines al momento de publicar este post, considero cumple a duras penas con mezclar el ser de Terror y familiar a la vez que maneja la premisa narrativa de fingir algo que emocionalmente no se tiene y es falso, esto tiene sus ventajas y desventajas que ya nombrare, Jessica Chastain esta espectacular, muy buen Casting que como historia va directo al grano con lo sobrenatural y demonios queriendo el regalo de los dioses para ser humanos.... así sea por las malas 😱😱

El Terror Familiar que incluye predominantemente a un elemento infantil sufre para ser terrorifica, justo eso noto aqui, un enfoque familiar que esta muy alejado de ser mi favorito pero objetivamente entra en la ecuacion familiar que ayuda a llenar las salas de cine de audiencia general que solo quiere entretenerse con algunos sustos 👻👻
La vi en Cines y la muchacha que estaba a dos puestos de mi, salto exageradamente y boto sus cotufas del susto 😂😂, me llena de satisfaccion ese tipo de reacciones porque complementan enormemente el visionado de la oelicula, lastima a mis amigas no les gusta el Terror y no me aceptan la invitacion a este tipo de peliculas 🫠🫠 que ademas cumplen con ser entretenidas, te la recomiendo en este aspecto 😌😌👍🏻

I only see Jessica Chastain’s character “reflecting,” so to speak, but her husband doesn’t give a damn about reflecting and comes across as a total clown to me 🤡🤡
So, sure, Other Mommy exists, and the ending exists too, but the purpose of the story’s reflections didn’t convince me 🫠🫠
It’s an entertaining movie for the whole family, but when it tries to get deep and aim for something more, it falls short for those of us who are fans of horror stories 👻👻
Hago enfasis que Jessica Chastain interpretando a Other Mommy haciendo caras como si no tuviera alma me encanto, el tono de humor en torno al personaje de Daddo el padre de Bela me agrado tambien y destaco que quienes estaban a mi alrededor rieron con ese personaje, de hecho lo notaran en la imagen el tono tonto que llega a tener esta familia 😅😅
Pero la reflexion se desarrolla en torno a un cotilleo familiar cuyo climax narrativo es el fingir, aparentar, la hipocresia de una felicidad no oresente con la cual no conecte, solo veo al personaje de Jessica Chastain reflexionar entre comillas pero su esposo no reflexiona un carajo y se queda como un absoluto payaso para mi 🤡🤡
Entonces claro, Other Mommy existe, el desenlace existe tambien pero el proposito del ente para las reflexiones de la historia no me convencieron 🫠🫠
Pelicula entretenida para todos en familia que cuando quiere volverse profunda y aspirar a mas, pues no lo logra para aquellos que somos fans de las historias de Terror 👻👻
