Name: Anime Review ~ The Imaginary - A Journey Through the World of Imagination
Item: The Imaginary
Author: @psyberkid

Hello friends, I hope everyone is well. Today I want to talk about a visually beautiful movie called The Imaginary. Although my expectations were a little high before watching this anime, because its concept, fantasy world and animation style seemed quite interesting. Although watching the movie was not as good as I had hoped, it was a fairly good experience.

Story Summary

This story revolves around a boy named Rudger, who is actually an Imaginary Friend. He is a creation of a little girl Amanda's imagination. Rudger is very important to Amanda, he is her friend, companion and source of courage.

But one day Amanda falls ill and Rudger gradually becomes separated from her. Then Rudger arrives in a strange world where all the lost or forgotten imaginary friends live. This world is colorful, imaginative and a bit strange.

In this world, Rudger understands that the existence of imagination is very fragile. When people grow up, many imaginations are lost or erased. There is also a mysterious character in the story, who threatens these imaginations. The movie gradually talks about friendship, loss, and the value of imagination, although not all topics are explored very deeply.

My Review

I found it quite beautiful visually. The animation, use of colors, and design of the fantasy world are undoubtedly worthy of praise. Especially the backgrounds and expressions of the characters are quite good.

However, in terms of the story, I felt that there was room for a little more depth. Although the concept is beautiful, it did not fully pull me in emotionally. Although some scenes were good, the whole story did not have a very strong impact at the end.

The connection with the characters remained at the middle level. I understood them but did not feel much. Still, the movie is not boring and can be watched calmly.

It is beautiful, soft, and imaginative. Those who want to watch something light fantasy and eye-pleasing can enjoy it. However, if you are expecting a very strong story or emotional experience, it may be a little less. If you have watched the anime, then be sure to comment and let us know how you liked it.

Thanks you so much for reading. See you next :)

This was a beautiful film that highlighted the enormous power of imagination, even when we are adults.

Wow! I haven't seen it yet, but it's been on my radar precisely because it looks incredible in the trailers. It's a shame to read that the story falls a bit short; that happens a lot sometimes, the animation is top-notch but you don't quite connect with the characters.

Anyway, your review is really helpful in lowering my expectations a bit. I might still give it a try one weekend when I want to watch something nice and relaxing without expecting a great plot. Thanks for the honest feedback!
