Story Summary
The central character of the story is Takao Akizuki, a 15-year-old boy who dreams of becoming a shoe designer. He skips school on rainy days to spend time at Tokyo's famous Shinjuku Gyoen Garden. There, he meets a mysterious woman named Yukari Yukino. Yukino is a 27-year-old teacher who is struggling with both her professional and personal lives.
Their first meeting is on a rainy morning. Both of them came to spend time in the quiet atmosphere of the garden on their own, but gradually they start talking to each other. Their relationship gradually develops into friendship and emotional support. The rain becomes a symbol of their meeting.
Yukino spends time in the garden with her problems in life, frustrations, and loneliness. On the other hand, Takao shares his dreams for the future and stories of personal struggles. Takao gradually begins to develop deep feelings for Yukino. However, their age difference and the realities of society complicate their relationship.
The story takes a turn when Takao learns that Yukino is a teacher at his school who has quit her job due to rumors and pressure from some students. After discovering this truth, their relationship deepens, but at the same time, a distance is created between them.
Here, Takao sees the age difference between Yukino and him and wants to leave her to avoid the talk of society because without the distance between the two, they will be stuck in life, so they go their separate ways.
In the end, Yukino decides to leave the city and move to the countryside to overcome her own problems. Before leaving, Takao and Yukino share their emotions and thank each other. Although their relationship is an unfinished chapter, it has a profound impact on both of their lives. Thus, the story ends.

The story of the film is very simple but the emotions and inspirations it contains are deep. The story of relationships, loneliness, and finding yourself is beautifully portrayed in the film. Its visuals are very beautiful. The anime's music and visuals are so beautiful that it evokes a very deep and emotional feeling when you watch and listen to this story. It is a unique portrayal of love, isolation, and the search for meaning in life. I hope you enjoy it.
