For a rather silly mix of an action series with elements of teen drama Cobra Kai ends up as a fairly in-depth analysis of the conducts of its own characters, born as a sequel/spin-off to the Karate Kid saga (and fully capable of accepting them all into his canon), Cobra Kai continues the story of Johnny Lawrence and Daniel Larusso and exploits their full storytelling potential.

Cobra Kai is a series that studies the passage of time on these characters, their irregular maturation process and how they must deal with the ghosts of their past in the middle of their adulthood, having new responsibilities that are implicit with all this.

It is not the best series but it has something that from the beginning has made it very enjoyable for me, it knows how to mix nostalgic elements with fresh and innovative things and its tasteless aesthetic ends up making it ironically light, it is unnecessarily dramatic but I enjoy every twist in the plot and I'm always eager to see what the next season will bring me.
Para ser una mezcla bastante tonta de un serie de acción con elementos de drama adolescente Cobra Kai termina como un análisis bastante profundo a las conductoñas de sus propios personajes, nacida como una secuela/spin-off de la saga de Karate Kid (Y totalmente capaz de aceptarlas a todas dentro de su canon), Cobra Kai continúa la historia de Jonny Lawrence y Daniel Larousso y explota todo su potencial narrativo.

Cobra Kai es una serie que estudia el paso del tiempo sobre estos personajes, su proceso de maduración irregular y el como deben lidiar con los fantasmas de su pasado en el medio de su adultez, teniendo nuevas responsabilidades que van implícitas con todo esto.

No se trata del casting más prolijo del mundo, los diálogos rayan en lo mediocre y la dirección es apenas servible para contar la historia, pero Cobra Kai sabe utilizar sus fortalezas para crear un producto bastante divertido y emocional a pesar de sus defectos.

No es la mejor serie pero tiene algo que desde el principio la ha hecho muy disfrutable para mí, sabe mezclar elementos nostálgicos con cosas frescas e innovadoras y su sabor estético tan desabrido termina haciéndola irónicamente ligera, es innecesariamente dramática pero disfruto cada giro en la trama y siempre estoy ansioso por ver qué me traerá la siguiente temporada.
