I have always wanted to talk here about Star Wars but it intimidates me a bit, it is a franchise that I adore, I have seen its 3 trilogies an absurd amount of times and I enjoy every moment, but I feel that in terms of knowledge of lore and the universe that surrounds them I fall far behind. Star Wars and its prequels specifically are very dense, full of political conflicts and subplots that can go under the radar.

Interestingly, and here I could earn the hatred of Hard Core fans, I feel like SW is at its best when its narrative is simple, easy to follow, but always enjoyable to have a hint of complexity.

For me this is the perfect balance achieved by Revenge Of The Sith, the third episode of the saga, premiering in 2005.

Revenge of The Sith makes this whole trilogy make sense, it is as if finally many problems collected in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones find their course, then we have the definitive genesis of Darth Vader, one of the most anticipated outcomes in history. of modern cinema.

I'm not saying that SW III dodges all the problems of its predecessors, but with such a brilliant third act it is easy to ignore them, this is Star Wars pure and simple, Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor give us one of the best confrontations of the entire Skywalker saga, which does not have so much to do with his technical display -which is also terrific- but with everything that is at stake on an emotional level.

Star Wars is an extremely volatile franchise, it is difficult to please such a passionate fan, of course, over the years the art settles and it is difficult to What happened next? Or what happened before? And it's something that we can see from the initial critical reception that the prequels had, over time, all of this changed.

For me, while it is undeniable that Revenge Of The Sith has gigantic problems, a plot that loses focus at times, dialogue that borders on the cheesy without intention and a cgi that aged a little badly, it will always be in my heart as the moment in which Anakin Skywalker finally became Darth Vader, one of the most iconic villains in all of history.

Siempre he querido hablar aquí sobre Star Wars pero me intimida un poco, es una franquicia que adoro, he visto sus 3 trilogías una cantidad absurda de veces y disfruto cada momento, pero siento que en términos de conocimientos del lore y el universo que las rodea me quedo muy atrás. Curiosamente, y aquí podría ganarme el odio de los fans Hard Core, siento que SW está en su mejor momento cuando su narrativa es simple, fácil de seguir, pero siempre es disfrutable tener una pizca de complejidad.

Para mi este es el balance perfecto que consigue Revenge Of The Sith, el tercer episodio de la saga, estrenando en 2005.

Revenge of The Sith hace que toda esta trilogía tenga sentido, es como si finalmente muchos problemas recogidos en The Phantom Menace y Attack of the Clones encontraran su curso, tenemos entonces el genesis definitivo de Darth Vader, uno de los desenlaces más esperados en la historia del cine moderno.

No digo que SW III esquive todos los problemas de sus predecesoras, pero con un tercer acto tan brillante es sencillo ignorarlos, esto es Star Wars puro y duro, Hayden Christensen y Ewan McGregor nos otorgan uno de los mejores enfrentamientos de toda la saga Skywalker, lo cual no tiene que ver tanto con su despliegue técnico -Que también es buenísimo- sino con todo lo que está en juego en el plano emocional.

Star Wars es una franquicia extremadamente volátil, es complicado complacer a una fanaticada tan apasionada, por supuesto, con los años el arte se asienta y es difícil el ¿Que pasó después? O ¿Qué paso antes? Y es algo que podemos ver en la recepción crítica inicial que tuvieron las precuelas, con el tiempo, todo esto cambió.

Muchos tienen lentes de nostalgia, incapaces de valorar cualquier cosa que no haya salido en los 70s y tenga Star Wars clavado en el título, otros sentimos esto con las precuelas a principios de los 2000, el punto es que nadie esta totalmente correcto ni equivocado, todos tenemos derecho de disfrutar lo que nos plazca, y de criticar igual.

Para mi, si bien es innegable que Revenge Of The Sith tiene problemas gigantes, una trama que pierde el enfoque a ratos, diálogos que rayan en lo cursi sin intención y un cgi que envejeció un poco mal, siempre estará en mi corazón como el momento en que finalmente Anakin Skywalker se convirtió en Darth Vader, uno de los villanos más icónicos de toda la historia.
