Continuing with my Christmas marathon, the movie I am here to talk about is one with which I maintain a somewhat particular relationship. When I watch any type of film I try not only to analyze its quality in isolation but also to contrast it with the reception it has with its audience, Love Actually is one of those cases where until recently I did not fully understand why it was so loved ... but I think now I do.
At the end of my second viewing with my girlfriend, giving way to a new Christmas tradition where we decided to watch the same movies year after year, I discovered that Love Actually is a movie that hides much more in its guts than it appears.

As if we had a few moments of access to the lives of all these people, we can empathize with their conflicts and celebrate their achievements, no matter how small.
Although beyond being gimmicky, the union of all the stories that comprise it does not have a tangible purpose, we could say that it is a great way to convey a sense of brotherhood, as if we genuinely know this allegatory group of people with whom we are connecting. on christmas eve.
Love Actually has a slightly disorganized structure that seems to give more importance to some stories than others, the funny thing is that this same chaos ends up playing in its favor in what we could call one of the cutest Christmas movies ever made.
PS: My favorite story is that of Alan Rickman and his (Spoiler) later Infidelity, I find it interesting how his bitter end contrasts with the warm energy of Christmas and how despite the fact that his marriage was ruined the relationship with his children is still intact.
Continuando con mi maratón navideño la película de la que les vengo a hablar es una con la que mantengo una relación un poco particular. Cuando veo cualquier tipo de película trato de no solo analizar su calidad de forma aislada sino también de contraponerla a la recepción que tienen con su público, Love Actually es uno de esos casos en donde hasta hace poco tiempo no entendía totalmente porque era tan amada… pero creo que ahora lo hago.
Al terminar mi segundo visionado con mi novia, dando paso a una nueva tradición navideña en donde decidimos ver las mismas películas año tras año, descubrí que Love Actually es una película que esconde en sus entrañas mucho más de lo que aparenta.

Para mi, como su propio nombre deja entrever, Love Actually busca representar al amor en sus distintas facetas, desde las amarguras que supone que no sea correspondido hasta la inocencia de enamorarse siendo joven.

Tal y como si tuviésemos unos momentos de acceso a la vida de todas estas personas, logramos empatizar con sus conflictos y celebrar sus logros, por pequeños que sean.
Aunque más allá de ser gimmicky la unión de todas las historias que la comprenden no tiene un propósito tangible, podríamos decir que es una genial manera de transmitir una sensación de hermandad, como si genuinamente conociéramos a este grupo de gente alegatorio con el que estamos conectando en la víspera de navidad.

Love Actually tiene una estructura ligeramente desorganizada que parece darle más importancia a algunas historias que a otras, lo curioso es que este mismo caos termina jugando a su favor en lo que podríamos llamar una de las películas de navidad más tiernas que se han hecho.
PD: Mi historia favorita es la de Alan Rickman y su (Spoiler) posterior Infidelidad, me parece interesante como su amargo final contrasta con la energía cálida de la navidad y como a pesar de que su matrimonio se arruinó la relación con sus hijos sigue intacta.
