The Invisible Man is a curious film that seeks to bring a horror classic to the present, this adaptation not only renews the concepts of the original character, but also plays a bit with the tone of the work.
It could be defined as a volatile film, with many successes and mistakes, entertaining but problematic. With a brilliant performance by Elisabeth Moss, who could catch up with giants like Tony Colette in hereditary, Invisible Man arrives like a breath of fresh air in a sea of generic and formulaic terror, sustained by the impact that their names can make in social networks to stay irrelevant, even if they offer little.
We follow the story of the victim of a brilliant, millionaire and obsessive man, a mixture of common evil but that develops quite effectively, his girlfriend, of course, who must deal with the consequences of his actions even after death.
If there is any area where Invisible Man stands out, it is technically, the special effects (which by the concept seems that it will need little, but no) are incredibly neat, what more difficult than to make us feel that there is someone who is not seen? Each shot complements this brilliantly, undoubtedly the best of the film.
As a negative point (and here I am careful to make spoilers) I feel that when the film is well advanced the plot derails a bit and loses focus, the final resolution betrays us as viewers trying to reveal a slightly forced plot twist. All of this can leave you with a bitter taste, although it is also understood if that was the intention in the first place.
To finish, Invisible Man is a Roller Coaster, full of very good moments and other questionable ones, despite the fact that it lacks a bit more artistic spirit to reach greats of the genre such as Get Out, Hereditary or Midsommar, we have a quite entertaining film and without much pretense. The use of science fiction elements (which I don't think is a surprise to many) makes this an experience worth living.
Though you can't help but fall for a couple of genre-specific tropes, it's fresh and worth it - you rarely see performances of this level in horror, and the special effects and a couple of nicely-crafted shots end up sealing the deal.

The Invisible Man es una película curiosa que busca llevar a la actualidad un clásico de terror, esta adaptación no solo renueva los conceptos del personaje original, sino que juega un poco con el tono de la obra.
Podría definirse como una cinta volátil, con muchos aciertos y desaciertos, entretenida pero problemática. Con una brillante actuación por parte de Elisabeth Moss, que podría ponerse al nivel de gigantes como Tony Colette en hereditary, Invisible Man llega como un soplo de aire fresco en un mar de terror genérico y formulaíco, sostenidos en el impacto que puedan lograr sus nombres en redes sociales para mantenerse irrelevante, aunque ofrezcan poco.
Seguimos la historia de la victima de un hombre brillante, millonario y obsesivo, una mezcla de maldad común pero que se desarrolla con bastante efectividad, su novia, por supuesto, quien debe lidiar con las consecuencias de sus acciones incluso después de la muerte.
Si hay algún área en donde destaque Invisible Man es en lo técnico, los efectos especiales (Que por el concepto parece que necesitará poco, pero no) son increíblemente pulcros, ¿Que más difícil que hacernos sentir qué hay alguien que no se ve? Cada toma complementa esto de forma brillante, sin duda, lo mejor de la película.
Como punto negativo (y aquí me cuido de hacer spoilers) siento que cuando la película va bastante avanzada se descarrila un poco la trama y pierde el foco, la resolución final nos traiciona como espectadores tratando de revelar un giro de trama un poco forzado. Todo esto puede dejar con un sabor amargo, aunque también se entiende si esa era la intención en primer lugar.
Para finalizar, Invisible Man es una Montaña Rusa, llena de momentos muy buenos y otros cuestionables, a pesar de que le falta un espíritu un poco más artístico para llegar a grandes del género como Get Out, Hereditary o Midsommar, tenemos una cinta bastante entretenida y sin muchas pretensiones. El uso de elementos de ciencia ficción (que no creo que sea sorpresa para muchos) hace de esta una experiencia digna de vivir.
Aunque no puede evitar caer en un par de tropos propios del género, es fresca y merece la pena, rara vez se ven actuaciones de este nivel en el terror, y los efectos especiales y un par de tomas muy bien montadas terminan sellando el trato.
