First I want to mention that this post is a kind of continuation to my review on the first part of Kissing Booth, I will refer to it a couple of times so you can read it if you wish.
I have said it on multiple occasions, I am fascinated by the sequels from different points of view, from those most acclaimed by critics to the most detested, there are interesting products and others that are nothing more than heartless excuses to absorb money taking advantage of the impulse of their first parts.

Kissing Booth 2 is a perfect sequel and I want you to take this as literally as possible, it manages to increase the scale of the conflicts and the emotional impact of its events but also carries with it the same mistakes of its predecessor.
Directed (Again) by Vince Marcello and starring again Joey King, Joel Courtney and Jacob Elordi, we find a sequel to Kissing Booth that picks up the story in a relatively organic way and introduces new elements with mixed results.
After some time with Elle and Noah maintaining a long distance relationship, it seems that Noah is beginning to socialize at Harvard which brings with it a series of things that awaken certain insecurities in Elle, on the other hand, Lee and Rachel begin to have problems with Elle and her inability to leave them alone time.

For me, this last point sums up the greatest achievement of The Kissing Booth 2, if in the first part it was difficult for me to support a part of the conflict, here everything is more defined and without a doubt it manages to be more moving and desperate.
She is still silly and gets more entangled than necessary, the dialogues are even worse than in the first part and the quality of the performances has not improved, but after the first half hour when everything picks up pace, an entertaining experience begins, a bit long. for my taste but perfectly in line with what I expected.

Primero quiero mencionar que este post es una especie de continuación a mi review sobre la primera parte de Kissing Booth, haré referencia un par de veces a el así que pueden pasar a leerlo si lo desean.
Lo he dicho en múltiples ocasiones, me fascinan las secuelas desde diversos puntos de vista, desde aquellas más aclamadas por la crítica hasta las más detestadas, hay productos interesantes y otros que no son más que excusas desalmadas para absorber dinero aprovechando el impulso de sus primeras partes.

Kissing Booth 2 es una secuela perfecta y quiero que se tomen esto de la forma más literal posible, logra aumentar la escala de los conflictos y del impacto emocional de sus eventos pero también arrastra consigo los mismos errores de su predecesor.
Dirigida (De nuevo) por Vince Marcello y protagonizada otra vez por Joey King, Joel Courtney y Jacob Elordi, nos encontramos con una continuación de Kissing Booth que retoma la historia de forma relativamente orgánica e introduce nuevos elementos con resultados mixtos.
Luego de un tiempo con Elle y Noah manteniendo una relación a distancia, pareciera que Noah está empezando a socializar en Harvard lo cual trae consigo una serie de cosas que despiertan en Elle ciertas inseguridades, por otro lado, Lee y Rachel empiezan a tener problemas con Elle y su incapacidad para dejarles tiempo a solas.
[Source](https://www.vogue.mx/estilo-de-vida/articulo/the-kissing-booth-3-de-netflix-de-que-trata-cuando-se-estrena)En su momento mencioné que Kissing Booth lograba desarrollarse con frescura y evitaba un par de clichés propios del género que hacían de ella una experiencia entretenida y cómoda, lastimosamente esta frescura no se replica en la secuela, que sin mucha vergüenza se siente más genérica de lo esperado, bebiendo de otros cientos de películas románticas y temiendo ir a lugares interesantes en términos narrativos.
La introducción de un nuevo personaje - Marco - propone cambiar la dinámica de la historia y fracasa en el intento, entregando un problema desechable y una serie de desvíos que al final no van a ningún lado porque todo retoma el estatus quo sin muchos inconvenientes o algún tipo de desarrollo o evolución realista.

Para mi este último punto resume el mayor logro de The Kissing Booth 2, si en la primera parte me costaba apoyar a una parte del conflicto aquí todo está mayor definido y sin duda logra ser más conmovedor y desesperante.
Sigue siendo tonta y se enreda más de lo necesario, los diálogos son aún peores que en la primera parte y la calidad de las actuaciones no ha mejorado, pero luego de la primera media hora cuando todo agarra ritmo empieza una experiencia entretenida, un poco larga para mi gusto pero perfectamente acorde con lo que esperaba.

Le falta ambición pero logra llenar los vacíos emocionales que plantea y por supuesto, pasar mucho tiempo pensando en ella es empezar a ver las grietas de su argumento, la cosa es que si la observamos en piloto automático nos vamos a entretener.
