A lot of individuals live with regrets in their hearts for something that happened, and they blame themselves for it. This affects their relationship with the people around them; a man who lost his wife and blames himself every day, burying himself in worries or finding a solution to his grief, and in the process forgets how to care for and show love to the people he has left in his life.
Ant-Man is an action movie in the Marvel Studios universe, produced and released in 2015, directed by Peyton Reed, and written by Edgar Wright, Joe Adam McKay and Paul Rudd.
Paul Rudd, who is cast as Scott Lang, a thief who got released from jail, has to put his life together to gain visitation rights with his daughter. He tries to secure a legit job, but his history of being a convict won't let him get or keep a job. As someone with a master's degree in engineering, he used his skills to open safes to steal instead of working or building as others do.
Michael Douglas, who is cast as Dr Hank Pym, has been looking for the right person to recruit to put on a high-tech suit that lets him shrink to the size of an ant while also boosting his strength.
He has also been following Scott Lang since he was arrested after being caught stealing; he believes Scott has a skill set that is hard to find and would be the best person for the job, but he needs leverage to get him to agree to wear the suit.
In that regard, Dr Hank Pym will create a scenario in which Scott's friend Luis, played by Michael Peña, will tell him about a score in an old man's house, where he found the suit and became connected with Dr Hank Pym and his daughter Hope Van Dyne, played by Evangeline Lilly.
Scott Lang, Dr Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne worked to prevent the technology from getting into the hands of the Hydra organisation and other bad hands, stopping Hank’s protégé, Darren Cross, played by Corey Stoll, whose intention was to weaponise the invention and make lots of money from the deal.
The actors brought brilliance to their performances overall, starting with Paul Rudd with his natural charm, Michael Douglas asserting authority in his role as Dr Hanks, Evangeline Lilly as the double agent and adding agility to her character and also the funny Michael Peña playing the role of Luis with his hilarious storytelling that got me laughing every time.
The movie is an action-packed comedy film; it is a must-watch for those who like both action and comedy movies. It is entertaining and worth the time.
