Bonito miércoles para todos, ya es ombligo de semana y por fin pude seguir con mi maratón de películas nocturnas. El fin de semana cuando nos reunimos en familia mientras yo estaba haciendo las cotufas escuche a alguien decir "La isla negra", la verdad que solo el titulo en si me llamó la atención, aunque no todo es lo que parece.
Nice Wednesday for everyone, it's already the middle of the week and I could finally continue with my nightly movie marathon. On the weekend when we got together as a family while I was making the cotufas I heard someone say "La isla negra", the truth is that only the title itself caught my attention, although not everything is what it seems.
Dicha frase concuerda muy bien con la trama, que si bien la descripción de la misma que le da netflix te da una idea, la verdad es que da un vuelco bastante desagradable a mi parecer.
Said phrase matches very well with the plot, which although the description of it that Netflix gives you an idea, the truth is that it takes a pretty nasty turn in my opinion.
No se aún cual es el sentido de llamarle Isla negra porque en si no tiene nada que ver con el desarrollo de la trama, simplemente son personas comunes y corrientes que están en una isla bastante alejada de la ciudad, y pues se ve que todos se conocen y conviven en armonía.
I still do not know what is the point of calling it Black Island because it has nothing to do with the development of the plot, they are just ordinary people who are on an island far away from the city, and it is seen that everyone knows each other and live in harmony.
Las primeras escenas son bastante desconcertantes, sobre todo por el hecho de ver cómo violentamente una anciana muere a manos de un perro salvaje que a mi parecer estaba entrenado por alguien para hacer lo que hizo.
The first scenes are quite disconcerting, especially to see how violently an old woman dies at the hands of a wild dog that I think was trained by someone to do what he did.
Segundo la muerte repentina de una pareja que a dejado solo a un joven que de cierto modo le ha caído las plagas de Egipto, pues ambos eventos tienen una conexión, pero lo interesante fue lo repentino y seguido de las tragedias.

Una de las cosas que me hizo pensar un poco, fue el conflicto que existió entre ambos padres, me refiero al padre de Jonas y su abuelo. No hubo tiempo para remediar las problemáticas que seguramente se pudieron subsanar y empezar de nuevo. Esto me enseña que no debemos perder tiempo, que no podemos dejar para mañana lo que se puede hacer hoy siempre que queramos hacerlo o incluso el simple hecho de tener una espina de ello.
One of the things that made me think a little, was the conflict that existed between both parents, I mean Jonas' father and his grandfather. There was no time to remedy the problems that surely could have been solved and start over. This teaches me that we should not waste time, that we cannot put off until tomorrow what can be done today as long as we want to do it or even the simple fact of having a thorn of it.
La vida de Jonas por supuesto que cambia por completo, incluso la idea inicia luego de la muerte de sus padres era irse con su tía a otro país, sin embargo su abuelo se acerca a él a hacerle un ofrecimiento que lo ha llevado a quedarse en la isla por un año más, de modo que pudiera estar en confort con sus amigos y la chica que le interesa.
Jonas' life of course changes completely, even the idea starts after the death of his parents was to go with his aunt to another country, however his grandfather approaches him to make him an offer that has led him to stay on the island for another year, so he could be in comfort with his friends and the girl he is interested in.

Entre las propuestas de verse para hablar sobre temas puntuales, sucede lo que todo espectador se espera, un beso e incluso algo más que eso, que por cierto, no es una película para ver en familia por las situaciones incomodas que se muestran.
At a certain point, Jonas and his friend start a flirtatious exchange with the teacher, who seems more interested in Jonas. Between the proposals to meet to talk about specific topics, what every viewer expects happens, a kiss and even something more than that, which by the way, is not a movie to watch with the family because of the awkward situations that are shown.
A partir de aquí empiezan los celos entre la amiga de Jonas y su profesora, casi que declarándose la guerra donde solo una de ellas iba a sobrevivir, aunque la verdad que la maestra tenia todas las ventajas siendo que es una mujer experimentada y por ende más femenina para seducir a Jonas.
From this point on, the jealousy between Jonas' friend and his teacher starts, almost declaring a war where only one of them was going to survive, although the truth is that the teacher had all the advantages being an experienced woman and therefore more feminine to seduce Jonas.
No se deja claro si ciertamente Jonas siente algún tipo de amor o deseo por ambas, simplemente acepta lo que estas insinúan y ofrecen de un modo voluntario.

Pensé que se trataba de un deseo por sentirse joven y deseada, sin embargo todo era parte de un plan secreto, que al descubrirse me dio un tanto de asco.
I thought it was a desire to feel young and desired, however it was all part of a secret plan, which when discovered made me somewhat disgusted.
Fue una trama un poco obvia en un sentido que el secreto se descubrió muy rápido, me hubiese gustado que fuese el final de todo.
It was a bit of an obvious plot in a sense that the secret was discovered very quickly, I would have liked it to be the end of it all.
Pero deja un mensaje claro también, las acciones tienen repercusiones, y el dejar de hacer normaliza las acciones posteriores de los demás. El amor no es un juego ni mucho menos algo que puedes crear de la nada, no es como el deseo que se consume y listo.
But it leaves a clear message as well, actions have repercussions, and failing to do normalizes the subsequent actions of others. Love is not a game let alone something you can create out of thin air, it's not like desire that is consumed and that's it.
