CineTv Contest#47: Jumanji -Welcome to the Jungle (2017)

Review by @rukkie · 1273d · of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Hello beautiful people ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We are in for another week on #cinetv. This week's contest is a special one as it is to choose a favorite movie reboot. There are lots of movie reboot/remake, I didn't even know which to choose. Finally, I settled for "Jumanji".

The first instalment in the Jumanji film series was released in 1995 and it tells the story of two kids who played a magical board game and released a man trapped in it for decades.

The first indirect sequel or the first movie reboot of Jumanji is titled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, this movie was released in 2017. Unlike the original version, I love this one better.

This version of Jumanji focuses on a group of four teenagers who got sucked into a video game in form of adult avatars and must play the game till the end in order to be freed and just like the original version, they also found a player who had been stuck in the game for decades.

  • What you loved or hated about it.

The first thing I love about this re boot is the settings, the reboot took them all into the jungle where we saw loads of action unlike the first version where the setting was in their hometown(sort of). Another thing I love about this reboot is the 'scary vibe',like they know their mission and carried it out till the end with loads of action and all which made it funny and highly entertaining unlike the original version where it seems like they were being forced to act scared 🙄🙄🙄 (No offense).

*What part of it did you find most interesting.

Now here, there are lots of interesting parts, but I think I liked where Dr Xander "Smolder" Bravestone (played by Dwayne Johnson) had to carry Dr Franklin "Mouse" Finbar (played by Kevin Hart) on his back while they are running away from Professor Van Pelt men. I find that part very funny.

*Any scene that still pops into your mind.

The scene that kept popping into my mind was when Professor Sheldon "Shelly" Oberon (played by Jack Black) transferred one of his lives to Alex Vreeke (played by Nick Jonas) when it seems he won't make it out of the game having been trapped in the game for 20 years with one remaining life and in return he named his daughter 'Bethany' to remember the woman who saved his life.

*Performance of the actors/actress that left an impression.

They all did great an brought their A-game (hehe).

*Why do you think it's significant and great (or not).

Jumanji -Welcome to the Jungle(2017) is a must watch and it's worth your time. The sequel Jumanji- The next level (2019) is also thrilling and highly entertaining.

Thanks for reading.
