I like Gremlins 2: The New Batch. I have a review somewhere on this blog about it but it’s farther back and I got tired of scrolling back for it. Anyway, I like it for the zaniness and the Looney Tunes style that director Joe Dante employs in it. Just makes it a lot of silly fun.
It was on this evening and I watched it with my Mom, sort of, and my brother. By sort of, I mean my Mom left the room and came in once in a while with kind of an “Is this still on?” attitude and left again. With my brother the debate was whether this was better or worse than the first Gremlins movie. I maintain this one is the better of the two. He disagrees. He is obviously wrong.
I often wonder why Phoebe Cates seemed to disappear from the acting world.
