Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters was on after the first film so I watched it as well. The young, main cast is back although the veterans are all absent. There are new ones though, no big deal. The tree that protects Camp Half-Blood is dying and it is up to Percy and the gang to go on a quest to find the Golden Fleece.
Hijinks ensue. There are more terrible deeds in motion.
This one had some cheesier looking effects but the story is fast-paced and I was never bored with the movie.
I am sort of disappointed that this bombed in theatres. I’d have loved to see another story, something to close some of the story points that this set up.
I think I will have to find and read the book series.
Good fun!
