Insomniac Film Festival #15: Ultraviolet

Review by @rvgenaille · 3079d · of Ultraviolet

F0C76FA4-E1F2-462D-909F-E73D5E3D5F00.jpeg A short review today everybody. Have a great week!

If I had to find a category to place Ultraviolet in, it would probably be the “How-did-this-get-made” one. I know that sounds harsh and I wonder if the distaste for Daddy’s Home is carrying over into my distaste for this one but I think that might be generous of me. No, it’s pretty bad.

It’s pretty bad in a lot of ways.

In the future, a war between humans and infected “former” humans, vampire-like Hemophages catches infected Violet in a battle to protect a child.

Milla Jovovich is Violet and she is always fun to watch but this movie is all over the place, tonally. I couldn’t figure out what style the filmmakers were shooting for and I couldn’t figure out what they were trying to do.

And the effects were terrible.

Skip it.

Filmin does not fit in style. I was curious as you tell the movie.
