Insomniac Film Festival #17: Second Sight

Just a short review tonight.

So I decided to watch Second Sight this evening for Insomniac. I was feeling nostalgic for the 1980s, hardly surprising, this thing started out as watching 1980s movies and seeing if they held up. Plus I’ve always been a fan of John Larroquette.

Turns out this was a bad idea. This is a messy film.

Larroquette, Bronson Pinchot and Stuart Pankin are the Second Sight Detective Agency and they solve mysteries using Bobby’s (Pinchot) psychic abilities and connections to the afterlife. They take a case with some nuns that complicates things. Hijinks ensue.

The performances are standard Larroquette and Pinchot overacting, the dialogue is kind of painful and it’s got some odd editing/directing choices.

It’s Bad. Really Bad.
