They say comedy is subjective and I am forced to agree. I adore Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, Zac Efron and Adam Devine. They are talented and funny performers and they deserve better than this.

Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates is inspired by a true story about two brothers who placed an online ad looking for dates for their sister's wedding. In this flick, they are played by Devine and Efron and they are major league screw-ups who live and work together and are given an ultimatum by their dad to bring "respectable" dates to their sister's wedding.

Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza are major league screw-ups who live and work together who conspire to get into the date in order to get a free trip to Hawaii.

Raunchy hijinx ensue.

Plus some attempts at meaningful stuff as things fall apart. It isn't very funny but the performances are actually quite good. I enjoyed all four of the main cast, they are great in their roles. I got tired of Steven Root as the father of the bride. Canadian actress Sugar Lyn Beard was great as the bride.

So, yeah, not great but not awful.
