Insomniac Film Festival #51: Shaun the Sheep Movie

I love stop motion animation.

There I said it.

Shaun the Sheep Movie is a charming, stop-motion animated film based on the children's cartoon from Aardman Pictures, creators of the Wallace & Grommit animated shorts and movie.

Shaun the Sheep is about a sheep named Shaun. I'm sorry. Shaun lives a humdrum life on a farm and conspires to get a day off by tricking the Farmer into sleeping in. Things go awry, in the most unexpected ways, and the Farmer ends up in the Big City with amnesia.

It is up to Shaun and his fellow sheep and their sheep dog to go to the Big City and find the Farmer and save the day. It's funny, cute, aimed at children but doesn't talk down to them, and is just charming.

Plus, it's more or less, dialogue free.

I really enjoyed. You should give it a try.
