So, that happened. That’s trite, sorry. Actually, it was enjoyable. Rampage is not a good movie but it is an entertaining one. Dwayne Johnson is a primatologist who works with a gorilla named George. Naomie Harris is a geneticist. Together they will be fighting an evil corporation that has weaponized DNA and, through an accident, unleashed a pathogen on the world, infecting three animals, including George, causing them to mutate and grow, heightening their aggression in the process. The bad guys then call them towards Chicago. Hijinks ensue.

Like I said, it’s enjoyable. Nothing deep here. Some of the effects aren’t great but Johnson is fun, as is Harris and most of the supporting cast. The male bad guy was annoying, and I couldn’t decide if he was overacting, poorly acting or was directed this way.
