Congo is based on a Michael Crichton novel and is about an expedition in the Congo, searching for another missing expedition, a lost city and return a gorilla to its home. It stars Laura Linney, Tim Curry, Ernie Hudson and Dylan Walsh.

Lots of stuff happens. There are some not great gorilla effects.

It’s not very good. It’s entertaining enough but it is kind of annoying. It’s nice to see Hudson have a decent-sized role and Linney is always strong but a lot of the characters seemed to have fluid motivations.

Watchable but not really worth the time.
