Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Seth Rogen and Kirsten Wiig star in Paul, the story of two British sci-fi nerds who, while on a cross country road trip to see all the alien sites in the United States, encounters a real alien and are forced to go on a cross country chase.

The Good:

Nick Frost and Simon Pegg together are always good. Their chemistry is pretty well established. Kirsten Wiig is good as the daughter, of a religious fanatic, that they accidentally kidnap who undergoes an extreme loss of faith. The trio hunting them are amusing.

I love the concept of this film.

The bad:

While I mostly did not mind Seth Rogen as Paul the alien, the stoner interlude in this movie was annoying. It felt like they had one film and then let him add these scenes of everyone getting stoned. The tone changes and took me out of the movie.

It's Pegg and Frost but not directed by Edgar Wright.

Like I said, I love the concept of this film but the execution is uneven and the stoner stuff annoyed me. Worth a watch, there is a lot to enjoy but it is flawed.
