Jason Statham! A giant, prehistoric shark! How can we lose?!?

This is a b-movie that lovingly rips off Jaws and is a lot of fun without descending into the schlocky silliness of the Sharknado franchise.

Statham is Jonas, an undersea rescue type who is grounded until he has to rescue his ex-wife from a previously unexplored part of the ocean. In the rescue, things go awry and a megaladon escapes the protected area and is unleashed on the rest of the ocean.

Jonas and crew must stop it and they try several times.

It’s a lot of fun and I quite enjoyed it.
