Insomniac Film Festival #89: Disorganized Crime

Review by @rvgenaille · 3142d · of Disorganized Crime

In 1989, Lou Diamond Phillips and Fred Gwynne were joined by Ruben Blades and a few others in this crime caper. Disorganized Crime is a mostly harmless comedy where Corbin Bernson decides to rob a small town bank, calls his buddies in to do the job and gets arrested in the meantime.

He escapes and tries to get back to his hideout. Meanwhile, the team decides to go ahead with the crime while he is being hunted by the police.

The Good...

These types of comedies aren’t made anymore except more independently. It’s mostly harmless.

The cast is great.

The Not So Good...

It mostly works but I don’t know. It is what it is. Has a bunch of 80s tropes that aren’t necessarily accepted anymore.

Mostly works but something is missing.
