Back to the Future is a well-made, thoughtful, funny film, made back in 1985 and starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. It is a movie that I really like a lot but also one that I can't watch over and over like I hear other people can. I can't quite put my finger on it either. There is nothing wrong with it, in fact, it's a great flick. I just have difficulty watching it over and over.

Back to the Future is about a teenager, named Marty McFly, who travels back in time, thirty years to be exact, to 1955 where he accidentally disrupts his father meeting his mother, putting his very existence into jeopardy. He must team up with the scientist, Doc Brown, who invented the time-traveling DeLorean, he used, to repair the car, help him save his parents and future and get him back home. Hi-jinks ensue.

That's it in a nutshell. The film is funny and surprisingly grounded for a movie about a time traveling teenager. The performances are uniformly strong, the plot flows nicely with very few slow spots. The science is iffy but taken very seriously. It is an enjoyable film.

Great flick. Holds up well.
