In 1986, there was a great, underappreciated comedy, about the relationship between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, called Without a Clue, starring Michael Caine, as a bumbling Holmes, and Ben Kingsley, as Dr. Watson, the real detective. It was funny and kind of charming.
This comedy stars Will Ferrell as Holmes and John C. Reilly as Watson and makes both of them bumbling. I couldn't tell if they were two "fish out of water" types in a straight-laced society or if everyone was silly and I can't decide if this is going to be good or not. Ferrell and Reilly are very hit and miss with me.
This can go either way. I just don't know.
