This appears to be the week of biopic trailers.
To view the United States from the outside, the country appears to be in chaos and I cannot imagine what it is to be experiencing the current legal brouhaha going on surrounding their Supreme Court. Into this maelstrom comes On the Basis of Sex, a biopic of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of the current Justices, and her battle for women's rights.
The film feels like a throwback to the older-style biopic that they used to make, presenting elements of her life and then focusing on a specific time in her life. At least according to the trailer, which, while good, seems to give a lot away. Granted, the story is already out there, having really happened, but the trailer does the dramatic scoring and uplifting musical cues and all the annoying stuff.
Felicity Jones appears to do a good job though as Ginsburg.
