The Witch Who Came from the Sea is a creepy, sexy film and its poster is no different. The movie centers around a woman whose prior abuses become the inspiration for her depraved descent into madness culminating in a series of murders. The 1976 poster is a bit more violent than even the film itself, featuring a bloodied sickle and a decapitated man's head in the hands of the titular - and titillating - "witch."
The artwork is chilling, but the film is even more affecting with an overall bleak storyline and a disturbing plot about domestic violence. This was recently released in a Blu-Ray collection by Arrow Video and The Witch Who Came from the Sea is definitely worth a look - and the best movie in that set.
