I just finished watching this movie about an hour ago and wanted to share a few thoughts on why I think others would enjoy this title.
The Cry of the Owl is a great movie that explores some dark aspects of the human mind.
The movie is very strange starting out with the main character dealing with a divorce by stalking a young girl and her boyfriend.
The weird vibes just start coming and they don't stop.
The girl catches the dude stalking her and invites him in to tell him a story about her dads' friend who visited when she was a kid.
The guy is completely bewildered of the entire situation and basically lives in a fog throughout the rest of the movie.
This "bubble" of fog that he lives in plays a big role to the events that take place which ultimately puts blood on his hands.
I think the saying when I was growing up was "All is fair in love and war".
This movie is a testament to basically all that could go wrong in love with a nightmare divorce.
The kind of mental health issues in this movie might be a little disturbing for some as there is a suicide scene and lots of blood.
If you can stomach to hear people talk about their last meal on death row as if it was something to look forward to then you might enjoy this film.
I hope you find my short review and recommendation helpful and that you enjoy the film.
Thanks for reading
