Motor City stars Alan Ritchson and it's about in the 1970s Detroit where John Miller falls in love with a local gangster's girl. This is one of the biggest release in the summer season of July. It’s not one of those movies I saw the trailer first before going to watch it, I only heard of it just until recently.
And to be honest, this was a fun movie to watch. This is a movie that does not really focus on dialogue. It is an hour and a half movie of complete action. Which I found really interesting especially with Alan Ritchson in the main lead of this movie. I mean, all the movies he does, it looks like he's having a good time and he's pretty much a badass in all the action movies he does. It’s just a pretty solid movie.
All of the acting in this movie is actually really good. Alan Ritchson, like I said, doesn't talk in the movie and he just kills people. Beats them up, shoot them up, and all of that.
Now, there are quite some cons I found in this movie. First of all, for a movie like this that barely contains dialogue, there are scenes where it feels like they really needed something in this movie. Like there's scenes where you can see people talking but you can't hear them as the audience. But again, the performances are so good that I enjoyed it enough but I felt like this movie could have been better with a little bit of dialogue. But still, I love the idea of not doing any dialogue and just action. I think it’s really cool and unique. Although, it’s not the first time I am seeing something like this. But feel like this movie does it best because the directing and cinematography and the style of the action it's filmed in is really insane.
To be frank, I had a good time in this movie because it’s the kind that gives you enough with just facial acting with him and Shailene Woodley.
The directing was top notch. Not to mention the production. It doesn’t seem like a quite popular movie so far, but it’s really worth checking out.
My rating for the movie is 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks for reading. See you on my next post.
