What prompted me to start this movie wasn't the wide media fame or awards it had gotten, nor was it my regular Instagram feed that brought an edit of it to my eyes. My mom had asked me to download the first 3 seasons for her to watch. That happened close to 4 weeks ago, and now, I am the one who has finished the series and is left in awe at how the life of Jesus has been retold.

*** #### Plot > The story of Jesus, retold. *** I believe the initial problem anyone would've had when creating a series like this is how to keep the viewers entertained. It's one of, if not the most popular tales ever told with creative freedom of how it's supposed to go being 0. > I doubt any Christian would be thrilled watching a version of Jesus story that isn't biblically accurate.So there is no individualism in the tale, in the location or in the plot. What and how can you make this show as interesting as it is?

I'm very sure this was his plan when he chose a cast as colorful, dynamic and talented as this.
The idea of not focusing on the prophecy itself but how the prophecy interacted with the people. The little intricacies that the Bible fails to point out or highlight.
This series was carried by it's cast. The acting was beautiful, very beautiful.
In the five seasons the ones I was enamored with the most was Jesus and Rabbi Shmuel.
It's rather ironic how the two opposing forces were headed by two of the most talented actors I have ever seen even though I'm just seeing them; Jonathan Roumie and Shaan Shamar
The epic aspect of this show is to be appreciated too, although I guess that's just how the story is in the Bible too 😂
What this series did is to bring the events of the Bible into something of a visual understanding for Christians and non-christians alike.
It's theological, mostly religious, yet still, factually historical and that is what makes it feel so real.
