Ryan Murphy chiude con la serie antologica di maggior successo della sua seriografia, capace di scavalcare nell'indice qualitativo e di gradimento la sua creatura più riconoscibile, quell'American Horror Story che più di ogni altra aveva lanciato l'autore nell'olimpo della serialità. La prima stagione ci aveva riportato alla faida giudiziaria che aveva inaugurato il nuovo modello mediatico a cui ci saremmo, tristemente abituati. Il processo ad O.J.Simpson è oggi ritenuto l'evento di cronaco più noto degli ultimi 30 anni. Murphy ha contribuito a renderlo ancora più celebre ma soprattutto più compreso e comprensibile. Stessa operazione, sebbene leggermente meno riuscita, che è avvenuta con il caso relativo all'assassinio del nostro Gianni Versace.
