Kendall is the most capable and has always been following his father's activities but he doesn't seem to have the right instinct killer. Roman is a sort of goliardic big baby who does not seem able to take anything seriously. Connor is the spoiled eldest son who would like to become president of the united states but who could not even manage a condominium of 2 apartments. Shiv is the only daughter of Roy and probably the most skilful and clever but she is also the only one to have chosen an independent road with respect to family business. An illness of Roy will speed up the times, paving the way for the battle for succession. Between crossed vetoes, power games, selfishness, betrayals and the big financial and political wheel that governs everything at certain levels, the TV series will explode episode after episode. The ability to characterize these 5 characters is the basis of the success of the series but also the development of at least 10 secondary characters manages to give great depth to a story that although it runs out inside this powerful family still manages to cross over into other worlds. It is a TV series for which patience is required but time 4-5 episodes and you will be thrilled to have given it a chance.

Shiv è l'unica figlia di Roy e probabilmente la più abile ed intelligente ma è anche l'unica ad aver scelto una strada indipendente rispetto agli affari di famiglia. Un malore di Roy accelererà i tempi, aprendo la strada alla battaglia per la successione. Tra veti incrociati, giochi di potere, egoismi, tradimenti e la grande ruota finanziaria e politica che tutto governa a certi livelli la serie tv esploderà episodio dopo episodio. La capacità di caratterizzazione di questi 5 personaggi è alla base del successo della serie ma anche lo sviluppo di almeno 10 personaggi secondari riesce a dare grande profondità ad un racconto che sebbene si esaurisca all'interno di questa potentissima famiglia riesce comunque a sconfinare in ben altri mondi. E' una serie tv per la quale è necessaria pazienza ma tempo 4-5 episodi e sarete entusiasti di averle dato una chance.
