Stephen King is one of the most beloved authors of all time. Numerous films and TV series have been taken from his stories. None with great results. So much so that it's true that people have started talking about the "Stephen King curse". It took HBO to best address one of the American writer's many short stories.
THE OUTSIDER
The connection seemed perfect from the start. Tense atmospheres, a great attention to the paranormal and a surrounding environment, the American countryside, the suburbs that immediately became an integral part of the story. In America this TV series has had a great impact, great prominence. The echo in Europe has been lesser but still came loud and clear. Certainly is that we are not talking about a perfect series or one that will change your life. But it's the right occasion to pay tribute to Stephen King and his work. Finally, in fact, there was the opportunity to make his stories really interesting, even on TV. The merit is of an excellent cast and in general an excellent work in the technical sector with a direction that has certainly been very solid. Personally I don't think it can be considered a series of great importance in the serial panorama. To be seen without a doubt but basically does not add much to the television universe. Instead, it says a lot about HBO's ability to succeed where others have failed and to give the right emphasis to King's decades of work. From that point of view, the success has been really great.
Stephen King è uno degli autori più amati di sempre. Dai suoi racconti sono stati tratti numerosi film e serie tv. Nessuna con grandissimi risultati. Tanto è vero che si è iniziato a parlare della "maledizione di Stephen King". Ci voleva HBO per indirizzare al meglio uno dei numerosi racconti dello scrittore americano.

Il connubbio è sembrato da subito perfetto. Atmosfere tese, una grande attenzione al paranormale ed un ambiente circostante, la campagna americana, la periferia che è diventato da subito parte integrante del racconto. In America questa serie tv ha avuto grandissimo impatto, grande rilievo. L'eco in Europa è stato minore ma è comunque arrivato forte e chiaro. Di certo è che non stiamo parlando di una serie perfetta o che vi cambierà la vita. E' però l'occasione giusta per omaggiare Stephen King ed il suo lavoro. Finalmente, infatti, c'è stata l'occasione di rendere davvero interessante i suoi racconti, anche in tv. Il merito è di un ottimo cast ed in generale un eccellente lavoro nel comparto tecnico con una regia che ha sicuramente saputo essere molto solida. Personalmente non credo possa essere considerata una serie di grande importanza nel panorama seriale. Da vedere senza dubbio ma fondamentalmente non aggiunge molto all'universo televisivo. Dice molto invece sulla capacità di HBO di riuscire dove gli altri hanno fallito e di dare il giusto risalto al lavoro decennale di King. Da quel punto di vista il successo è stato davvero grandissimo.
