Non basterebbe un armatura di beskar per difendersi da questo episodio, solo un cuore di beskar riuscirebbe a non commuoversi, solo un'animo di beskar potrebbe restare impassibile di fronte agli eventi narrati nei 47 minuti di "The Rescue".

Al timone di questo spartiacque per la mitologia Star Wars e per la serialità tutta, c'è Payton Reed, già regista di Ant Man. La sua presenza è, nel suo piccolo, un altro elemento che serve alla Disney per sbatterci in faccia quanto essa sia capace di attrarre all'interno delle sue produzioni nomi di assoluto prestigio sia dietro la macchina da presa che davanti al foglio della sceneggiatura che davanti alla macchina da presa. Dave Filoni, Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, Timothy Olyphant, Katee Sackhoff, Rosario Dawson e tanti altri ancora, sono solo la testimonianza che se mamma Disney chiama pressochè chiunque risponde, e risponde con entusiasmo.

Ed è quell'entusiasmo, per essere arrivato a poter dirigere un qualcosa che avesse a che vedere con la saga di George Lucas, che deve aver spinto Payton Reed ad iniziare l'episodio nel bel mezzo della galassia, con i nostri eroi sulle tracce di Moff Gideon.

Vi sarà un rapido ricongiungimento con Bo Katan prima di arrivare a quell'ultima mezzora che è già storia della tv, di Star Wars, delle arti visive, storia ebbbbasta insomma.

Moff Gideon è rintracciato, strategia certosinamente messa in moto e Grogu pronto ad essere recuperato.
