SYNOPSIS
A psychologist, a contractor, and priest investigate allegedly supernatural incidents for an East-Coast American catholic church -- St. Joseph's.
THOUGHTS
I've just caught up on season three of this show and I have to say -- for something that started as a primetime show on CBS, this show really impressed me.
It kind of reminded me of NBC's HANNIBAL due to its minimalism but also attention to dramatic flare.
The show EVIL is about the time-old debate between religion and science, and what that means for religious and scientific people but obviously for the show the supernatural aspects exist.
I don't want to spoil the show too much but it can walk the tight-rope between comedic and creepy really well.
But at the same time, even though there's some definitely scary elements to the show -- it has a good sentimental core to it.
