I remember once I used to play to a friend's house and then read a comic absurd published by Gramedia which has an absurd title as well, Captain pants Adventure . What a comic, even for my size, who was still in elementary school and regarded the YuGiOh card game as the coolest thing ever . But that's one of its charms. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie , which is the inaugural first screen film of Captain pants, cleverly captures the spirit of his comics. This film keeps the consistency of the stink from start to finish. Almost no rest.

It's surprising to actually see how Dav Pilkey's comics series that has been so popular and selling well since 1997 was just glimpsed by Hollywood two decades later. However, this is where he finally came. Animated films that prove that animation knows no bounds, if the manufacturer knows how. The plot is somewhat episodic because it combines stories from several books. Trust me. I know because I used to read.

This film raises one of the things that has been the greatest unrest of mankind, such as how if we drink yakult more than two or what haqiqi function of Fidget Spinner. That is: why superheroes always have to wear the collar as part of their costumes. This film is more or less answering it, by showing explicitly that the pants is part of the superhero identity. Our hero in the film is committed to his name as Captain Pants; he was wearing a bowl and just a draw. Well , except for the robes; otherwise how they can fly dong. Duh, this is basic logic.

Captain Pants was originally a comic book character by George ( Kevin Hart ) and Harold ( Thomas Middlemitch ), two close friends who seemed to have only two hobbies: (1) making comics, and (2) acting ignorantly. The wickedness of George and Harold in their elementary school is unmitigated. Even upsetting the scientific presentation of an exemplary student, Melvin ( Jordan Peele ) who later upset the school principal, the irritable Pak Krupp ( Ed Helms ).

Mr. Krupp has a plan to end this ignorance for good. And for that, he had a well-tested and trusted method that made George and Harold shudder: to separate them in different classes. Okay, we do not think it's a problem because they can still play together at breaks or when they come home from school. But come on, grown-ups. Different classes are equivalent to different galaxies. Duh, this is basic logic.

Desperate and had no other way to prevent this policy from being signed by Mr. Krupp, they took out the ultimate idea, hypnotizing Mr. Krupp with a bonus hypnotic ring from the cereal box. Who would have thought this succeeded. When he heard the flick of a finger, Mr. Krupp immediately undressed, then turned into a very very excited Captain Pants but also very very stupid. He even believed that he could have super abilities, including flying.

Obviously, the jokes in this film use children's logic, most of which is the humor of small change that involves the play of words, eek, vomit, colour, and an adult falling on something. The scriptwriter is Nicholas Stoller who wrote Storks last year, an animation that jokes fast and furious . Lawakan here also nimble and splashy, but do not make hot because it does not sok-sokan to sound funny. The voices do not appear lebai and really sound like children. The film cleverly quipped its own genre through breaking the fourth wall several times. "This is the lowest form of comedy," says his character when the film scatter the toiler humor in the climactic scene. Director David Soren presents a hyperactive rhythm with increasing absurdity as the duration goes.

Captain Pants may not be a real superhero, but the story of this movie has a real supervillain. Is Professor P ( Nick Kroll ), a villain disguised as a chemistry teacher at George & Harold Elementary. He looked like a mini Einstein who had a ridiculous German accent. His evil plan is to eliminate the laughter nerves of children who have a scientific name "Hahaguffawchuckleamalus" (please check your biology dictionary). And he has a sophisticated tool to accomplish the plan.

This movie has a clear and smooth animation that slightly reminds us of The Peanuts Movie . Studio Dreamworks once again proves that skipping standard animation boundaries can provide a fresh comedy effect, as they do through Shrek . Not only ordinary computer animation, this film also inserted conventional animation, flip-o-rama animation (which is the hallmark of the comics), even hand puppet shows that all blend with the natural.

Can a children's movie that contains a joke of cheeses be entertaining? Of course, if he was smart enough to catapult it. Captain Underpants fascinates thanks to his fresh, lighthearted silliness. I usually just chuckle watching comedy movies, but this movie makes me laugh out loud. Rancidity is the main weapon. We certainly do not expect the film with the word "pants" in the title does not become an absurd movie, is not it? No need to check your Hahaguffawchuckleamalus. If you chuckle, the possibilities are large.
