Of the latest series of franchises ready to slide into the big screen, Fox 's Predator became one of the interesting titles awaited. Directed by Shane Black (who starred in the first movie Predator 1987 release), the film written Black with Fred Dekker is intended to revive the awesomeness of the Predator franchise. Long gone unheard of since filming started, now there is a new detail of The Predator Fox CEO Stacey Snider delivered to Variety .
According to Snider's assessment, The Predator will appear beyond expectations and completely fresh. Furthermore, Snider ensures the film will be set in suburbia aka the suburbs. He also explained that the film will highlight a child and his father who are in a battleground against the Predator.
As a comparison of the setting of the story, Predator (1987) took a location in the forest, then Predator 2 (1990) took its action onto the streets of Los Angeles, and Predators (2010) restored the story back to the forest. As for the crossover movie Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007) brings the small town of Colorado as a battle arena between two titular characters.
Meanwhile, the word "beyond expectations and fully fresh" Snider refers to judged not lead to the father and son story presented by The Predator . Rather it refers to the technique of filmmaking from Black who is known expertly presents something different and interesting in each of his work.
The Predator story will take place after the events in Predator and Predator 2 , as well as before the events in the Predators . The R movie starring Boyd Holbrook , Jacob Tremblay , Olivia Munn and Keegan Michael-Key .
