Liaison: Chaos - Episode 2 - Personal Thoughts

Liaison is a TV Series I will continue watching probably not at the same pace episodes come out, there are so many series between all the platforms its like every month two or three come up, I find hard to believe that all will survive, eventually there will be a few that die after the first season but I dont think it will be the case of Liaison, at least not for now, I do love when Alison gets mad at Gabriel, for me Eva is the eternal Artemisia from 300.

The second episodes is more about hands on action, all main character have been introduce and its time for things to start evolving, we don't know yet who is the real hacker that is causing all the disasters but we do know that its not Samir or Walid, they only stumble into some information when they hack the Syrian Police servers.

Something I appreciate from this series is the computer interface they use for the computers, its more credible than in other movies or tv series, but again is full of garbage as always like monitoring command prompts but the design looks ok, been a tv series about cyber security they need to pay attention to those details.

This is one of those shows that go under the radar but its very good in my opinion, dont see many reviews on Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB, score are close 64% on RT and 7.2 on IMDB, both close to an ok score, I have to say its worth to watch if you like police/terrorist/hacker/secret agent related tv shows.

Didier and Sophie are still going at the power grab fight with him working at the very thin side of the law, both in and out of it and Sophie keeps telling all the red flags around his operation but he always seem to have an Ace in favor to keep the president momentarily on his side with Sophie just waiting for things to blow on his face. Sophie tell the president about the hacks in Britain but they think Samir have to do with it, French president is worry that the same could happen to them, Didier tells them he just got news that they are about to get all the information that the hacker stole, again a big fat lie.

Gabriel leaves a note on Alison car about an AAA meeting at 8 p.m, here they meet for the first time in public not by accident, Gabriel explains her that its a coincidence they are on the same location and explain her he is working for DSGE with everything he knows so far about Walid, Samir and the hacker that is about to go green on terrorist attacks, he asks Alison to work with him but she refuse, she tells Gabriel that in order for the British to work with him he will have to turn in to the police since he is a wanted man.

Alison takes Gabriel for a ride to discuss all the matters to the case but she suddenly park on a no parking zone and after a police man notify her, he identifies Gabriel, now the British now he is in town so they could start monitoring the streets via CCTV, no days well develop cities have cameras everywhere and police can locate civilians very fast, although Gabriel is an old silver fox and a mercenary so it wont be easy to find or catch.

Moments latter after Gabriel and Alison discuss terms on how they can work together to locate Samir and Walid a second terrorist act happen, two trains crash outside of King's Cross, one of the trains was full kid school kids, one of them Alison boyfriend daughter, Kim.

Alison arrive to the crash scene and finds Kim, something I don't appreciate is how the kid was all like it hurts everyone cant move type of hurting and minutes latter when they arrive they hospital she is change and acting like nothing happens asking for his dad, taking a phone call, WTF but anyways she is a secondary character that probably wont have much to do with the series.

Like there was no other F ing hospital in town, at this point we have Alison, Albert, Kim, Gabriel and Walid all in the same damn hospital, come on, this type of coincidence are very crappy, hope it doesn't happen too often.

Gabriel is there to get Walid finger print to unlock the USB key he has with the data but he also needed the password, Walid suddenly die leaving Samir the only person alive with the password, Samir thinks Gabriel wants to kill him at this point and wont cooperate.

Alison meets with Gabriel again to tell him he has to disappear, go back to France because he has no immunity and will get caught in Britain, involve on a cyber security case that has two terrorist attacks related to it, bad news.

Politics start to become a problem when Richard suggest prime minister advisor they need the EU Cyber Security department help, but he refuse so Richard plan to get Bolton, the cyber security director to sign a deal with the EU and get help as its clear they cant solve they big mess that started with a kitty wallpaper singing British bridge going down.

Didier at France has other plans, he has personal interest and DO NOT want the British to re enter the cybersecurity agency at the EU and he has another Ace in his favor, Myriam that based on their conversation I suppose is his lover, they have a kid and he got her a position at the top of cybersecurity agency, Didier ask her that they must not sign the agreement jet, she have an idea why British would want to sign an agreement after the attacks but have not clue what Didier is planing.

This episode was entertaining, bit of action not much but not all series can be full adrenaline on every episode, this is a conspiracy/thriller tv series, it will take time to develop, every four episode we could get one full of action but the rest is all about investigation, revealing secrets and in this case find the hacker that no body knows who is and I'm sure Samir doesn't neither but he has information that could lead to the hacker.

There were a few things I didn't like, for example the scene at the hospital and Kim actor showing different emotions from one scene to another but its fine, this is not a AAA TV series, a 7/10 for this episode is fair.
