Una película diferente, una extraña comedia, que se debate entre el tema de las redes sociales y su poder versus la ciencia.
El trama plantea una insólita manera de tomar una noticia como la del fin del mundo, una noticia que nadie quiere escuchar o darle importancia por otras cosas que no tienen valor. Si bien todas estas películas nos muestran la ciencia, el poder, lo inimaginable y hasta los milagros, acá la perspectiva es diferente, casi una burla o sátira a otras películas con ese tema.
Las redes sociales y las noticias virales marcaron el centro de atención acá, así como el periodismo amarillista. La verdad es que ver a Leonardo DiCaprio en este film es como separarlo totalmente de la idea del "Titanic" (risas), con respecto a Jennifer Lawrence, siempre se caracteriza por darles vida a grandes personajes, quizá el personaje más relevante desde mi perspectiva.
A different movie, a strange comedy, that debates between the subject of social networks and their power versus science.
The plot poses an unusual way to take a news like the end of the world, a news that no one wants to hear or give importance to it because of other things that have no value. While all these movies show us science, power, the unimaginable and even miracles, here the perspective is different, almost a mockery or satire to other movies with that theme.
Social networks and viral news marked the center of attention here, as well as tabloid journalism. The truth is that seeing Leonardo DiCaprio in this film is like totally separating him from the idea of "Titanic" (laughs), with respect to Jennifer Lawrence, she is always characterized by giving life to great characters, maybe the most relevant character from my perspective.
Kate Dibiasky le da nombre a ese cometa fatídico que trae un final catastrófico a la humanidad, pero a esa humanidad loca y poco ubicada que se muestra. También se plantea el tema de los nombres de las diferentes universidades, el prestigio de estas y la cara complicada de los juicios de valor sobre las mismas.
La escena final además mofa la idea de una especie en un nuevo planeta, pero que por lo que se deja ver llega para ser alimento o presa de unos animales privilegiados en su hábitat. ¿Quizá es que no todo lo podemos corromper los humanos?
Lejos está el film típico de los astrónomos salvando el mundo, además de una presidenta poco normal de los papeles acostumbrados. Una sociedad totalmente diferente, puede que esa a la estaba apuntando el mundo antes de nuestra realidad actual.
Kate Dibiasky names that fateful comet that brings a catastrophic end to humanity, but to that mad and unplaced humanity shown. It also raises the issue of the names of the different universities, the prestige of these and the complicated side of value judgments about them.
The final scene also mocks the idea of a species on a new planet, but as far as we can see, it arrives to be food or prey for some privileged animals in their habitat. Perhaps it is that we humans cannot corrupt everything?
Far away is the typical film of astronomers saving the world, as well as a not very normal president of the usual roles. A totally different society, maybe the one the world was aiming at before our current reality.
En fin me parece una película de humor un poco pesado, en lo personal me causa gracia, pero no es un documental que deje alguna teoría como muchas obras del cine.
Sólo la recomiendo si estamos de humor y con un poco de tiempo para entender el sarcasmo atractivo. ❤
In short, it seems to me a film of humor a little heavy, personally I find it funny, but it is not a documentary that leaves some theory as many works of cinema.
I only recommend it if we are in the mood and with a little time to understand the attractive sarcasm.
