Mi curiosidad en la serie The Umbrella Academy se motivó a la característica de ficción y acción de las series anteriores que venía mirando en Netflix, así que aun con una introducción un poco dudosa de los eventos me dispuse a mirar la primera temporada.
Un comienzo un poco curioso al señalar una serie de nacimientos simultáneos y en condiciones distintas a la realidad, los chicos son llevados por un tutor “el padre” quien los adopta para formar parte de la academia Umbrella, ese es el comienzo de un túnel de eventualidades que van y vienen de forma confusa para el espectador.
El protagonista principal es interpretado por el joven Aidan Gallagher, sin duda un chico con bastante talento, no se puede negar que en le da personalidad a este protagonista con poderes con los que puede saltar por el espacio y el tiempo del todo.
Esta serie es una adaptación del cómic original “The Umbrella Academy”, la cual es llevada en esta ocasión con una clasificación para mayores de 16 años ya que algunas escenas son violentas, libertad de derechos sexuales e incluso hay una especie de humor sarcástico, de hecho “Cinco” es casi el rey del sarcasmo en sus respuestas..
Sin embargo mi opinión sobre la serie no es positiva, después de ver en la primera temporada puedo decir qué la impresión es confusa, el argumento de esta serie es totalmente ridículo, quizá en el aire o sin fundamento, no sé si las realidades se van develando con las siguientes temporadas, pero es difícil que atrapen a los espectadores con lo poco que dejan en estos capítulos.

This series is an adaptation of the original comic "The Umbrella Academy", which is carried on this occasion with a rating for over 16 years as some scenes are violent, freedom of sexual rights and there is even a kind of sarcastic humor, in fact "Five" is almost the king of sarcasm in their responses...
However my opinion about the series is not positive, after watching in the first season I can say what the impression is confusing, the plot of this series is totally ridiculous, maybe in the air or without foundation, I do not know if the realities are unveiled with the following seasons, but it is difficult to catch the viewers with the little they leave in these chapters.
¿Qué no me gustó?
Un grupo de niños con poderes que son llevados en el camino incorrecto de muertes violentas, malos ejemplos entre hermanos, y que al final se resume en adultos disfuncionales, que para completar el tema ni siquiera tienen un concepto claro de lo que significa “familia”; por tanto poco puedo rescatar de los eventos en donde intentan luchar juntos.
Además, hay tantos hilos sueltos en la trama que es bastante probable que se sumen más locuras en las siguientes temporadas. Sin ánimos de hacer ningún tipo de spoiler, por si acaso alguna persona quiere ver esta serie, creo que existe un problema en cuanto a la forma como plantean los hechos, por ejemplo, la temporada uno finaliza con una situación que no deja ningún tipo de expectativa, es como un ciclo, y a mi criterio no tiene un buen enchanche, ni siquiera existe un soporte de las teorías en cuanto a los poderes de los personajes.
El contenido más bien se me hace bizarro, allí en medio de los personajes hay de todo, dispuesto de manera loca entre simios, robots y viajes entre diferentes dimensiones, algo que sin duda fue mejor logrado en la serie “Loki”. Creo que cualquier cosa era buena para medio dar sentido al contexto perdido, que a veces se torna lento y con música tétrica, además de que algunas escenas son bastante oscuras.
En resumen:
No puedo recomendar “The Umbrella Academy” como una buena serie, quizá en un tiempo extra, y si es del agrado personal ver algo un poco torcido podría compartir este gusto. No estoy segura de ver las temporadas siguientes, a menos que simplemente quiera complementar esta opinión que hoy cierro como un total “desastre”.
What didn't I like?
A group of kids with powers that are led on the wrong path of violent deaths, bad examples between siblings, and that in the end boils down to dysfunctional adults, who to complete the theme don't even have a clear concept of what "family" means; therefore little I can rescue from the events where they try to fight together.
Also, there are so many loose threads in the plot that it is quite likely that more craziness will be added in the following seasons. Without wanting to make any spoilers, just in case someone wants to watch this series, I think there is a problem with the way the events are presented, for example, season one ends with a situation that does not leave any kind of expectation, it is like a cycle, and in my opinion it does not have a good plot, there is not even a support for the theories about the powers of the characters.
The content is rather bizarre to me, there in the middle of the characters there is everything, arranged in a crazy way between apes, robots and travel between different dimensions, something that was certainly better achieved in the "Loki" series. I think anything was good to half make sense of the lost context, which sometimes becomes slow and with gloomy music, plus some scenes are quite dark.
Bottom line:
I can't recommend "The Umbrella Academy" as a good series, maybe overtime, and if it's to my personal liking to watch something a little wonky I might share this taste. I'm not sure I'll watch the following seasons, unless I simply want to supplement this opinion which I close today as a total "disaster".
