This is a Series I read about here on Hive from @kenechukwu97 blog here few weeks ago and fell in love with it immediately...there's a reason though 😂
The male lead role was played by Namkoong Min. He's among my best three kdrama actors and despite my busy schedule, I just had to download and see the movie....
If you're a movie freak, you will understand what it means when you see your favourite actor on the screen, it gives a whole different kind of vibes😅

Plot Synopsis:
Portrays a classical world where it takes extra effort to beat the bourgeoisies doing some illegal acts since they beat the law with their money.
There will always be a Messiah but then there will also be a price to pay. Mr. Cheon, a role played by Namkoong Min was in this case the Messiah.
As a prosecutor, he was dedicated to his work and diligently discharged them despite pressures from higher authorities.
He started investigating a case about slush funds not knowing that his father who claimed to be all righteous was also a party to that.... When he found the link that connects the funds to his father, he was in total dilemma to call his father up for questioning and if it was okay for him to continue the investigation.
After all thoughts and getting a response from a lawyer he loved, he continued and this eventually led to his father's death.
This was a painful scene for me honestly and this was also what birthed the zeal he had to see to the root of the whole case.
When his would-be wife who he just proposed to landed her hands on the document regarding his dad and the slush fund mistakenly detailing everyone involved, on her way to deliver the document to him, she was killed and that was a double tragedy for him.
He decided to leave the prosecution since he couldn't do much as he was always halted by the authorities and took up his wife's office as a lawyer who already placed the legal fee at $1 (1000 won) and that was where the name of the series, One Dollar Lawyer came from.
This way, he was able to do his investigations while practicing as a lawyer too without higher authorities disrupting his investigation.
He later saw to the root of the illegal act and the perpetrators were punished accordingly.
It's a movie you really need to watch... It's a relaxation dose and informative also.
Most Nigerians have never been to the law court as the plaintiff despite the fact that we have a lot to complain about but because of the exorbitant charges lawyers charge over this part of the world, everyone swallows their complaints and use that money to eat😂 (Na who chop Dy go court finally)
So imagine here where the legal fee was 1000 Won which is equivalent to 1$😂
It was a good watch honestly and I enjoyed it.... I would recommend for all movie lovers to watch this too.

Justice can only be delayed but will definitely be fulfilled, no matter how long.
Evil hurts at the end so why not do good
Trust no one except thyself because anyone, literally anyone might betray you when you least expected that to save their head.
Good things don't come easy, there's always a sacrifice to make, a price to pay
Sometimes it's good to have a rethink of what exactly our goal is and see if truly we are still aligning ourselves with that or we've derailed from that.
