In the course of this short time in this new year, I wanted to take the opportunity to relax and watch some series, fortunately if they were present some others of which caught my attention, and I have them noted in a list to see them later, however this particular series of which I will speak today was an anime that I saw long ago, but I picked it up again to go deeper into its plot because I feel that it really is an anime that is worth it because it touches quite controversial and murky aspects, delved more than anything in the nature of human beings and everything that is linked to the psychological, spiritual, emotional and introspective aspect in short, I love it.
The first time I saw this anime was some time ago, let's say at the end of 2019, at first instance I did not call me so much attention perhaps because of the animation section, which is not bad on the contrary is very acceptable, but it is not so remarkable for me due to a gloomy atmosphere or ambience with not so striking colors, but when I gave it a chance I loved it, but well these are aspects of which I will delve much better at the time of expressing my personal opinion later, what better way to start this year talking about this underrated gem, so this time I bring you Monster.

I have seen several animes in which each one has left me a significant message with outstanding and outstanding weight, some more than others, some I consider great series that I would recommend and others not so much, and despite all that each of them also have their shortcomings, shortcomings which are compensated with an outstanding elaboration either in its plot or in its characters, depending on the path of the series in question (some more than others), but if I place in comparison the anime or series also worth the redundancy cartoons that have wanted to touch and recreate sinister topics, something gloomy and show me a cruder perspective to the complex psychology of each character, because if I'm honest I do not remember one that has left me as satisfied in those last sections as this anime Monster has done.
Monster is a series that has left a significant impact on me, both in the recreation of its environment and the presentation of the great variety of characters that give life to it, as well as the development or decline aimed at the psychological factor of the characters in question, if it is a very catching series that hooks you a lot before the large number of things that happen and the terrible situation in which our protagonist is involved, just to make a morally acceptable action from my point of view.
The series despite being very attractive and striking for its plot and distinctive touches such as its gloomy atmosphere and its constant exposure of the nature of human beings and their complex individual psyche in each one, is very, very slow, too slow, seriously if you are considering watching the series after this review I recommend that you have a lot of patience, There are moments in which the suspense is very striking and understandable, but there are times when I feel that it is quite abused when some event unfolds in the plot, and that's why it has a number of chapters so long in my opinion, I feel it could be simplified in a better way.
And to culminate there are 2 factors that personally called much more my attention and it is first the growth, development as well as the nature of each character and the villain of this work. First of all Monster presents us with a great variety of people, who are driven by personal situations (or influenced) to act in certain ways, human nature can become very cruel and quite sad, showing the viewer the dark and personal side of each human being here, along with a variety of nuances that accompany them, we can see this reflected in the vision of our protagonist Doctor Tenma and the villain Johan, I really like how this psychological factor is reflected, giving us to understand as we move forward in the series that everything is not as black or white as it seems in each person, just as in real life if not that there is a nuance that over comes out more than the other, depending on what they are and that morality and ethics with subjective concepts.
And the second factor is the impact of the villain of this work, which I will not go into detail because I do not want to ruin the fun, but I will only say that it is incredible the influence and the means in how he reaches others, and what others are capable of doing for him, I would have liked to delve more into how he uses his tools to reach in various ways to other people, how sad for that part.
And with this I end this review, I highly recommend the series, if you have the patience to watch it, take your time and enjoy the attractive plot, it is an anime that for me is a jewel even though it is a little below compared to other series, maybe later I will also review manga, we will see since there are some that I read last year that have been very interesting in my opinion, I hope you enjoyed this review and thanks for coming here without more to say until next time.
