The sound of music" 1965 Reminder for anyone who hasn't seen it and doesn't mind singing in the middle of the dialogue to see this classic masterpiece. One of the best musicals ever with great direction, flawless vocals from the beloved Julie Andrews and the wonderful, now forgiven, Christopher Plummer (whose last film was the Greek production "Kalavryta 1943").
Set in Austria in 1930 in the "last golden days" before World War II, the film is about an unruly nun-in-training who, due to the nuns' doubts about her being destined for convent life, is sent to a home to be the governess in a family of a widowed captain with 7 children. A nanny succeeds in bringing the melody back to a family and teaching one of the most important messages about teaching and learning, that there should be more play and less authoritarianism.
I especially like Maria's character because she is a strong, rebellious woman who stands tall but is also tender, dignified and emotional. A combination I've missed seeing to tell the truth. The same applies to the character of the Baron who does not overshadow or is overshadowed by the character of Maria but complements her perfectly with his prestige, his dynamism and at the same time his sensitivity.
It’s always good for those who like cinema and movies in general to search for gems like that from the old golden days of cinema and the glamour of Hollywood 😂 . Movies without special effects and cgi just songs and good acting 🎭 .xaxaxa. Just watch old movies it’s good
