For the past months, I have been following a number of anime which are updated weekly. And this week, 3 of them ended. I'm feeling a bit lonely about it. huhu~ Anyway, I want to share something about them here including my thoughts on it. You might find them interesting and decide to try them out!
1. Wotaku: Koi wa Muzukashii
Wotaku: Koi wa Muzukashii is also known as *Love is Hard For Otaku* or there's also another title translation which is *It's hard to Love an Otaku*. The story basically shows the life of four different otaku both in their personal and working life. The four main characters enjoy various and sometimes different stuff, but in totality, they are all otaku.
**Hirotaka** *(the guy with the blue hair)* is a game otaku. Even at work, he finds time to play games like during their break time or whenever it's possible. **Narumi** *(the girl with pink hair)* is Hirotaka's childhood friend. She is a Fujoshi and a creator of *doujinshi* BL comics. **Kabakura** *(the guy with the orange hair)* is a senior at work. He loves taking his time reading manga and collects anime figurines. Lastly, **Koyanagi** *(the girl with the green hair)* is a cosplayer, often a crossplayer. A crossplayer is someone who cosplays a character of the opposite sex. :) All these four are otaku and co-workers at the same time.
> It was really fun watching this anime because I could totally relate with the characters. Although I really haven't had co-workers who are into the same thing, but I had students and other acquaintances who I could discuss and debate with.
In terms of love, I could actually see the struggle. Although otaku people are also human, they're somehow the special type because they also belong to another world. Personally, I haven't really liked someone who isn't an otaku. *lol* I wonder why? Perhaps falling for someone who lives in the same world as you is kind of convenient. *(this part here is actually reflected in the anime)* I mean, some "normies" find it hard to understand otaku especially "fujoshi" like me. So it's definitely a plus when I like someone who can understand and accept my craziness.
PS: I've read some articles of it having a second season so, I'm looking forward to watching it!!!
2. 3D Kanojo: Real Girl
Similarly, this anime also tackles about otaku and love. However, in this anime an otaku guy who is somehow scared to socialize with "normies" got himself involved with a "3D girl" or in other words, a normal girl. This otaku guy usually just hangout with another otaku friend. Actually, they're both afraid to get involved with normies because of their past experiences.
Everything started to change when Tsutsui *(the otaku guy)* got associated with Iroha *(the 3D girl)*. He discovered more of the real world and made him realize a lot of things. Eventually, his circle expanded not just with otaku friends and also a handful of normies.
> I found myself getting excited and annoyed while watching this anime, but all in all, I still like it. It's somehow realistic especially for socially awkward people. In life, there are times when we don't know how to react in certain situations. It's difficult to get out of our comfort zones, but sometimes we just have to.
I also found it fascinating how an otaku fell in love with a normie and how a normie embraced the otaku culture because of the guy he likes. Although the girl remained "3D" and a "normie", she accepted the guy's culture and befriended the people in his circle.
The setting of this story might be very simple, but actually the storyline is quite complicated. I guess that's the reason why I continued watching it until the end. If ever there's a second season, I'd absolutely watch it! ^^
# 3. Yowamushi Pedal Season 4 (Glory Line)
This is the fourth season of a cycling anime. For this season, this shows how the "New Generation" cyclists of Sohoku trained and played during Interhigh. Actually, there is also an otaku in this anime. *lol* Onoda Sakamichi, the cyclist wearing glasses above was a newbie cyclist during his first year yet he won the previous Interhigh, of course with the help of their seniors and friends.
In this season, the new team Sohoku *(since the three seniors already graduated)*, are battling for the Interhigh again. How will the Interhigh this year differ from last year? Honestly, having the seniors graduate was a very big challenge for them.
> It was as exciting as ever! But it's such a cliffhanger! T_T I started watching this anime way back 2013, when the first season was released. And ever since then, I've been looking forward to watching it. I got used to waiting year after year for a new season to come.
I wasn't actually familiar with cycling that time, so I was in two minds whether to watch it or not. However, I still did and I didn't regret it. I fell in love with this anime and with its characters. Even characters from the rival teams or schools are lovable... except for one monstrous creepy character *(though if you know his backstory, you'll understand him deeper)*.
I really hope Season 5 comes soon! I've been into this anime for around 5 years now, so what's another year of waiting... right? uwaaaa~~ T_T
And there you have it!!! Last night, I started with Boku no Hero Academia Season 3 and I finished 11 episodes in one night. So, I slept around 2 in the morning. hahaha~ *(I had a class from 11PM to 12MN, though.. hihi)* I might start with Nanatsu no Taizai Season 2 or perhaps watch the completed Season 3 of Tokyo Ghoul... ahhh~ what to watch? I wanna continue Inazuma Eleven GO, too...
What to watch next is a common otaku problem.. hahaha~ Oh well! Here goes nothing! XD
