Before K-drama and other Asianovela became a thing in the Philippines, "Telenovela(s)" were a huge hit. Everyone fell in love with Thalia in "Marimar", "Rosalinda", "Maria Mercedes" and a lot more.
It was way back in the 90s, but I haven't really watched any telenovela in the past years. I did watch some movies on Netflix, but not TV series. Well, not until I stumbled upon CONTROL Z.

Well, it's nothing like all the Thalia telenovela I've watched on TV in the past, but it really got me intrigued. It's a teen drama and has three seasons in total. Initially, the trailer caught my attention, so I decided to give it a shot. Allow me to share the trailer below first.

## What is CONTROL Z About???
As you have seen on the trailer above, it's not your typical high school drama. The story revolves around several students from National School whose individual secrets have been revealed by a hacker. One of the students, Sofia, is hyper-observant and can be likened to some mystery detectives like Conan, Sherlock, etc. She's trying to get her hands on the hacker out of curiosity at first, but she discovered that somehow, she was more involved than she thought she was.
## Some of the Interesting Characters:
#### SOFIA
She's the main character. I like how logical she tries to see things. Her being hyper-observant is a trait I want to have. It would be so much easier to read people that way. However, even though she's logical, she can also be frustratingly emotional as well. Anyway, she's only human, so it's understandable. The actress playing her character is actually pretty good. She's really convincing. I like her!
#### RAUL
It's easy to despise this character, but he really plays a vital role in the story. I hated him since the first season, but I thought the series would be totally boring without him. Although he's acting like a jerk, he's actually just in love... that doesn't erase the fact that he's a jerk, though. *hahaha*
#### JAVIER
### OTHER CHARACTERS
There are a lot of interesting characters in this series. Some of them are in all seasons while the others are only in some of the seasons. Some characters had really huge character developments which I like. I guess, it was nice to see some changes especially to those who were part since the first season until the end.
## What Do I Think About It?
It's actually quite interesting. Well, I have watched some teen dramas on Netflix, and maybe because of that, some of the concept are rather similar. However, I enjoyed the chaos this drama entails. The actors also did great in portraying their roles. There were some exciting and confusing scenes that would really make you want to continue.
I find it oddly entertaining and I wonder every time I watch teen drama like this... Do these things really happen in high school? Well, there are realistic concepts and issues that were tackled in the drama. Their "secrets" can actually be real secrets for some people, but the way things flow is quite farfetched *(but then again... this is a TV series)*. Also, I love how the relationship among the characters went. It's like they all have a love-hate relationship with one another. You just don't know whose side is who. XD
Somehow, it made me think of high school. I've been in two high schools since I transferred to the city from the countryside in the middle of my sophomore year, and yes, some crazy stuff happened as well. But personally, the craziest things I've done in high school was cut class because a teacher was targeting me for pointing out her mistake and I hated her for that. *lol* And... I hitchhiked and was accused of trespassing in a private beach with my friends, too. *hahaha* Nothing too major, though. xD At least, if we compare it to everything that has happened in the series.
All in all, I enjoyed all three seasons of this series. The episodes are not that long unlike some TV series, so I finished all three seasons in just a week or so *(watched them during my break time from work)*. Once you get to the exciting scenes, time would just fly by without you noticing it.
If you're into teen drama, then I recommend you give CONTROL Z a shot. <3
