Motivational Series #12: INAZUMA ELEVEN (an anime review and motivational post)

Review by @tegoshei · 2939d · of Inazuma Eleven

It's been a while since I updated this series. The last one I wrote was related to bullying in which I used the anime "Koe no Katachi" as an example. If you want to read my post about it 4 months ago, CLICK HERE.
As for this post, I'll be sharing insights as well as my review regarding the 127-episode anime entitled, "INAZUMA ELEVEN". I hope you enjoy reading and learn something from it.

Have you ever been passionate about something... something that you think you can't live without anymore? Don't you think it's nice to have something like this? I personally think so. When you're passionate about something, you tend to do your best and it continuously inspire you.
The anime "INAZUMA ELEVEN" is about a bunch of Junior High School kids who share a similar passion, SOCCER.

It all started when the main character ENDO MAMORU fell in love with soccer when he stumbled upon a soccer ball as well as his grandfather's notes in their storage. He was still super young back then but he enjoyed the feeling of kicking the ball. He felt a strong connection that when he entered Junior High School, he wanted to join the soccer club.
But to his surprise, there was no soccer club in that school. Well, it's more on "There's no more soccer club." However, because of his passion to play the sport, he created it from scratch. During his first year, they were only 4 *(including a cute girl named "Aki" as a manager)*. On their second year, four freshmen asked to join them. They were so happy to gather these members but unfortunately, they didn't have a place to play. The struggle was real but it didn't last long.
Everything changed when a transfer student came. That student was GOUENJI, a soccer genius who has given up on soccer. Despite having given up, an infamous soccer team from another school was hunting him and to do this, they challenged Endo's soccer club which was basically very weak that time.
When Gouenji saw how the team played, especially Endo, his passion for soccer was again ignited. And then the adventure began. <3

They faced a lot of great soccer teams during the "Football Frontier", the famous football league among Junior High School students. Aside from the struggle, they met great friends and rivals along the way.
BY THE WAY, this anime isn't the "realistic type" of soccer, but I really enjoyed watching it. They have these various "Hissatsu Techniques and Tactics" which were really interesting and powerful. When watching their games, I felt really good. Whenever they powerup, I felt like cheering them on more and more.

Rivals became friends... friends become family. They were all connected because of SOCCER. It's really overwhelming. However, the anime didn't only focus on soccer games, but there was always "darkness" lurking around. There were people who tried to manipulate and used soccer for their evil schemes. So these "soccer-freak kids" tried to save the world through the sport that they love the most.
If you're into sports anime with a pinch of fantasy, I highly recommend INAZUMA ELEVEN. It has 127 episodes, but it's worth it! <3 I'll be watching the second generation INAZUMA ELEVEN GO soon! I think there's around 40 episodes only, but I feel like I can never get enough of the excitement.
If I have something I'm really passionate about, that would be watching anime and inspiring people through it. In the end, all my hobbies and interests revolve around ANIME. hahaha~ How about you?

As usual, I gathered some quotes from the anime that I've watched and I'll be sharing them together with my insight. So sit back and enjoy! (^_^)v
##

No matter how much it hurts to play, you must never give up fighting. The goddess of victory always sides with those who don't give up.

##

As long as I don't give up, I'll find a chance to make a comeback.

##

What's important is the heart to not give up!

> Obviously in the quotes above, the core message is TO NOT GIVE UP! I strongly believe that the moment you give up on something, that's the only time that you lose. I am a very optimistic person and as much as possible, I want to do things until the end. I hate losing but, I hate giving up the most because once you decide to give up, everything ends there.
For sure, life is never easy... but I always strive to hold on to that tiny ray of hope because I know it will lead me somewhere. We all experience struggles in life... yes, even the people we think who are blessed with everything have their own struggles as well. We all are constantly fighting against our worries and other stuff in life, but let's continue to hold on and move forward.
If you feel like your goal is getting further and further away from you, double your effort to chase it! ;) You may undergo difficult things, but you'll get there. I always tell myself, ***"Dreams are sometimes delayed, but they'll come true. Pour in your desire and mix them with effort in order to achieve it!"***
##

A failure is nothing but a failure. So, you know who you are. You understand that you are hopeless than anyone. That is how you will one day get stronger.

##

Each time a person falls, he or she becomes stronger.

##

After we accept something new, we can evolve.

> Learning from experience and failures is something we have to do. This is somehow related to not giving up, too. Some people, when they experience failure, they tend to give up and lose. However, failures are also very important.
I guess the reason why I became very optimistic were the failures I've experienced in life. The bad and hurtful experiences I've had in the past made me stronger. At first, I used to ask "Why me?" "Why am I experiencing such things?" "My family isn't rich, so why are we bombarded with such trials?"
It was so difficult at first, but I tried to answer those questions. The answer I came up with was very simple. ***"BECAUSE I CAN. BECAUSE WE CAN!"*** Along the way, I discovered a lot of things about myself and I realized that I can be strong... that I can overcome whatever it is that comes my way. I may have failed a lot of times, but I'll bounce back. I tried to embrace the feeling of frustration, of hurt, of anxiety... I embraced them with an open heart and accepted the fact that they are a part of me. They are integral parts of being alive... of BEING HUMAN. And then using these feelings, I conquered the trials that are in front of me.
Of course, I didn't face it alone. I have my family... I have my friends who are constantly pushing me forward. It will always be difficult, but it will never be impossible. Know yourself, accept your flaws and be open to change. Fail a lot of times and make these failures your stepping stones towards the peak of your success! :)

In the anime, there were eleven heart notes that was shared and they're also really inspiring. I plan to make stories for each heart note in the future, so I hope you look forward to reading them in the coming days! :) Thank you so much for checking this post out. I hope you learned something from it! ^^ Have a lovely day!

Loved this post, I watched most of Inazuma Eleven but haven't watched the second half of season 3 yet... I love this show, it's Over The Top RPG mecahnic anime with Soccer theme, (So, yeah... I don't consider it a football anime.)

Anyway, loved the insights you made, it remided me of this quote:

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
