Based on the 1984 film "Ghostbusters" an Ivan Reitman film written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.
This supernatural comedy was set about 32 years after the events of GHOSTBUSTERS 2. The afterlife focuses on a single mother Callie (Carrie Coon) and her two children who after being evicted from their rented apartment in a better town moves to a small town in Oklahoma after the death of her father only to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters.
What interests me more in this movie is how little Phoebe (McKenna Grace) was not moved or scared by the uncovering of things that happened when they moved to take over her late grandfather's old farm house as everyone knew it to be. She got really interested in every creepy thing that looked like science.
With the aid of her new friend and classmate Podcast (Logan Kim) who was always up and about with hsi microphone looking for the little mysterious detail he could get of everyone, she was able to uncover more mysteries. Things got really interesting for them when their teacher Mr Grooberson (Paul Rudd) showed interest and paved a path for testing out some of the ghostbusting instruments and her(Phoebe's) mom.
In the end, they had to team up to conquer the ghosts who wanted to take over the City. When everyone was down and out, Phoebe stood strong with the electron fighting with all her might to make sure she sends the ghosts back to where they belong when it seemed like her strength was gonna fail her, her grandfather came to the rescue and it was an amazing experience for both family and friends.
Its plot is quite unpredictable and its runtime is 2h 4m. It's quite entertaining and of course would crack you up real good especially when Phoebe lets out her silly jokes that embarrass her brother Trevor (Finn Wolfland).
You should check it out if you haven't, I promise you won't get bored. If you're really into science you should love this film.
